Wow...is all I have to say about Jam Cruise. I cannot believe I haven't heard of it sooner. Anybody been?? www.jamcruise.com check out the past artist lineups
I don't know which would be better Jam Cruise or Jam in the Dam. www.jaminthedam.com/ There's more bands on Jam Cruise, but definately more freedom with the later. I want to do both.

Once the cruise gets outside of 3 miles aren't you no longer under any nation's laws/restrictions? Or is that something I just saw on tv?
That is basically true (not sure about the distance though) but while the boat is docked in Ft. Lauderdale all passengers embarking have to comply with U.S. laws and also when the boat returns.
From recent articles I have read regarding the cruise, in the past couple cruises the organizers have really began searching passengers much more thoroughly (sp?) before embarking in the U.S. and when getting back on after port calls.

Anybody I have talked to that has been to Jamcruise has said it was one of the greatest experiences of their life...That being said, the lineup this year is looking VERY bleak compared to previous years, plus there is no stop in Jamaica!
Its only the initial lineup so far but it looks like Umphreys and Les always seem to make it. I was looking and its only $800 dollars or so for a 4 person room. Thats seems cheap if you have 4 people going together. I'm definatly going to look more into after Bonnaroo.

I do believe its $800/person right? Not per room. If it were per room that would be one helluva deal. I thought it was even more than 800, though? If the lineup ends up anything like previous years any amount of money (if you have it) is totally worth it. The thought of sitting down at the bar next to Les or Brendan Bayliss or anyone of the sort would be absolutely awesome.

Yeah i thought it was at least $500 per person but i dont know the details... and yeah Jamcruise turned into quite a big bust last year partly because of conversation on message boards having to do with illegal substances and how to conceal them etc... Plus florida is a VERY VERY tough state on drugs, even Marijuana, its rediculous... Has to do with the level of importing that goes on down there i imagine....
Jam in the Dam is where its at. Worst comes to worst and you dong like the artists YOU ARE IN AMSTERDAM. Its a no lose situation
seriously... i've always wanted to go there and never made it when i was traveling nearby... that is so dangerous for me to know about i wouldn't have thought amsterdam could get any better but apparently i was wrong!
