I'm going to see them tonight in Atlanta - I hope they can put some of this new stuff on, it looks amazing -
Saw them last night in Atlanta for free. Not real familiar with them, they put on a fairly bizarre show, but that said, I enjoyed it. There were Santas on one side of the stage and Aliens on the other (these were dancers). The lead singer crowd surfed over the crowd while he was inside a giant inflatible ball... They had a camera set up on the mic, so you got a good view of the dude's tonsils. Overall quite a fun experience. De La Soul also played ealeir in the day.. That was not the stage set up though. There was a giant screen behing the band, that was about it..
hornet - I got a chance to make that show as well - I was pretty amazed by the whole show, especially a bohemian rhapsody cover!
Overall I thought it was great, and yes Wayne had the clear ball to walk around in (he entered from the crowd in it) and Santas were there, but I think the fact that it was an all day fest prevented any more elaborate setups. On another note, De La Soul was freaking awesome - as was Ozomatli the day before. The Gourds also put on a very impressive and fun set.
