did everyone have a good memorial day weekend?? mine was great - i have a sunburn and everything!!!! i spent it with friends and family and talking about bonnaroo how was yours???
Mine was fairly uneventful, but I had a blast just sitting around, drinking beer, listening to music, enjoying the warm weather out on the patio, and having my own little Roo party last night with some dvds. The gf was flying most of the weekend so I was doing it sooolllooooo. My only problem with beer and being alone, is eBay! I haven't spent a ton of money or anything, but more than I should have...on stuff I probably don't need.
I worked Thursday through tonight for a total of 34 hours, then spent Friday night, Sunday night, and tonight at the library working on term papers. Then I got a speeding ticket and today learned that I need new brakes. Other than that . . .

I moved to a new apartment. After 3 years of having a 2nd floor unit with no porch I am very happy to now have a large patio. I went to Lowes and got a gas grill for 100 bucks and have been grilling ever since. I love grilling. Yummm, all beef dogs, some corn on the cob, some chicken marinated in Dales, the best marinade ever, IMO. You slow cook it and then turn the heat up to high for the last few mins and baste a bit more on. The marinade will kinda burn up along the edges of the chicken creating a super tasty crispy skin. Can't wait to get home and fire it up again!

Anyone ever heard of Omaha Steaks? We have started ordering from them and can not get enough! They have the best steaks and burgers you have ever tasted! Fairly reasonable too.
I grilled burgers on Saturday and filets yesterday! I love grillin too!
I listened to my "Sweet Sounds of Bonnaroo Vol 1 and Vol 2" cd's all weekend! Some great tunes on those two, and it takes you back to the magic that was Roo 1 (2002) :-)

i live for omaha steaks..i am borderline obsessed with the onion burgers.
Great weekend...down to Sea Isle NJ early friday morning to start it off - we got to the bar at about 9:30 and there was maybe 10 people there, within a half hour it was mobbed...More of the same all weekend, beers, bud and bbq. Then went to the Pearl Jam concert Sunday night. Paid for it dearly yesterday though when I had to go a ceremony for Memorial Day, standing there in my Dress Blues in the 90 degree heat sweating out 3 days worth of alcohol was brutal.
I had a great weekend. Friday: Went over to my buddies house had a couple of beers and then went to the bars. We then wandered around Oakland drinking beers. Good night alot of walking though
Saturday: I went up to Napa for some wine tasting (I was the DD so I didn't drink any wine) then we went to a co-workers B-day BBQ where we ate a ton of food, did some salsa dancing and drank way too much tequila.
Sunday: Had an another B-day BBQ where we ate a ton of food and drank the right amount of beer.
and finally Monday: went to the A's game which they loss to the Royals and after the game they had a free fireworks display. So I had a very fun and full weekend.
