anyone seen the movie yet?..i am sure many have read the book..
just saw the movie a couple days ago. i thought it was ok. better than the "critics" say (i disagree with critics, wow, that is a shocker). but i also think the standard "not as good as the book" applies here as well. i read the book over 2 years ago, and i have only read it once, so i forgot a lot of it. so it was kind of cool to refresh a lot of it via the movie..but for someone who didnt read the book, i can see it being a little disjointed and confusing. the book really lays out a lot of the background that the movie could not possibly deal with.
read the book, loved it, havent seen the movie yet. i dont like movie theatres . . .lol (well that was when i was a smoker for obvious reasons, but now . . . )
Didn't read the book, but thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I think it's almost easier that way - you never leave with that "the book was better" feeling (and I'm really lazy, it takes me like a year to finish a book).
I'd think you'd have to be sober to understand the plot if you hadn't read the book.

Haven't seen the movie yet, but i'd find it difficult to come out of it feeling the book was better. I read the book, and while it was a good story I find Dan Brown and absolutely horrific writer. Eventually I will see the movie, but I have no real need to do it any time soon
read the book a while ago too and was a little disappointed with the movie. a felt that it never really picked up the pace and kinda dragged. it didn't seem as suspenseful as the book. but maybe that's because i already knew the answers to all the puzzles.
my sister re-read the book right before the movie came out and didn't like some things that were changed that really didn't have to be.
if you read the book and haven't read dan brown's other stuff, i recommend them all except digital fortress.
The movie was solid. It wasn't boring like all the critics have been saying. I don't think it quite did the book justice, but it did the best it possibly could. I was suprised by how closely it followed the book, cause I thought they'd change the narative quite a bit and not jump back and forth between stories. But they did and it worked. It was good. Not great though.
I have not read the book but saw it last night....it was fine...nothing spectacular but fine. I think that it was harder to adapt than most people imagine. My wife (she has read the book) says that the only problem was that they had to present a puzzle and solve it almost immediately as opposed to building a lot of drama and suspense (as the book did).
I would recommend at least renting it in a few months...but I for one don't feel like I wasted my money going to see it.
oh yeah...and those present/past views of the louvre and other places were pretty cool.
