Can you please post the e-mail...I don't know what the hell has happened lately. I got all the e-mail announcements until about a month ago and have not received another one since. I don't know if Superfly lost a whole bunch of email addresses but it would be nice to know what is going on. I even signed up again a week ago and still haven't gotten anything else except confirm your subscription ???
My hubby and I have already talked about going to Vegoose this year because we love Vegas and that would be a sweet combo.

Your ISP has probably introduced new spam filters that are blocking the emails. This happens at my company all the time. They won't be sent to your spam box or folder, the ISP blocks them before they even get to you. Typically when things just stop so suddenlly you can be sure this is what has happned. I am guessing you have a email that is not a free web based service yahoo or gmail and something like comcast or road runner.
Superflys servers may have also been placed on a blacklist server somewhere because of the mass amounts of email they send at a time. Lots of people like to block lots of things for few reasons. This would cause the emails to not be received in certain locations by ISP's that have traffic routed through these servers.
I have to say that my first comment I told friends was "It was better than Bonnaroo."
That being said it is very different. Everyone is in hotels so ou have the fresh factor. Because there was no camping they could focus much more on the actual fest. Then you have it in Vegas and its a rager. I shot dice standing right next to Phil Lesh. I cant wait!

I may try to make it out there this year, I've never been to Vegas and this year I'll be 21!
How much money does one drop on a trip like that? 500$ for 2 plane tickets, approx. $100 fest tickets per person, $400 for a hotel for four days, cab rides, casinos, drinks. It seems like something I would really have to save my money for.

The thing about Vegas is that its actually INSANELY cheap to get food and I think also pretty cheap for hotels and stuff. Everyone just wants to keep you in the city to spend all your money on the shows, casinos and stuff. So it would really depend on what you want to do. Next year when i turn 21 i'm hoping to go out to vegas (i've been telling my parents to send me there for my 21st birthday) and i plan on bringing no less than $1000, and expecting to lose it all. That being said, it would be great if i MADE some money at the casinos, but never go into gambling with the mindset that you will or have to make money. I'm not really sure about Vegoose itself though, since i've never been, so i guess this is fairly useless information. Either way, I hope i go to vegas next year.

Really? I had a hard time finding a meal for under $20. The hotel rooms were at least $200 a night. Vegas is expensive - I went through about $2.5K on my last trip (including food, beverages, flight, hotel, gambling, strip clubs). I think going during Vegoose will actually save me money - can't gamble or drop $ at strip clubs while you're watching great bands.

Well, then just ignore everything I said. Maybe I jsut dreamed cheapness, haha. I was there many many years ago with my parents, and I remember them saying that stuff was cheap. But what do I know, it was cheap for me since I wasn't paying anything!

Vegoose was incredible! this will be my first year to bonnaroo so i can't compare but vegoose will be hard to beat. I mean, the lineup last year was amazing (SCI, WSP, Gov't Mule, Beck, Flaming lips, Phil and Friends, Dave, Arcade Fire, Trey band), and the vibe was great.

Well, I guess it could all depend - if you could get off the main strip, I imagine things would be better price-wise. I do remember things being a lot cheaper in the 'old vegas' area where Binions, Golden Nugget, etc are. I dropped over $1K in one night at a strip club alone, so maybe I'm not offering a balanced perspective either. My wallet is still hurting from that one...
ya i believed the whole "everything is cheap once ya get to vegas thing". i was told there was great buffets everywhere. which is true. but it cost 16 bucks a person. nothing is cheap in vegas. the only thing cheap about vegas is the flight there. we never saw the mythical free drinks if your gambling either. although we only gambled like an hour. we rented a car and drove to hoover damn/lake mead and i higly recommend it if you have a car while there. its like a 25 minute drive thru the desert and cliffs and it is beautiful. and once ya get outside of the city you can find the bad ass 5 dollar buffets and 40 dollar a night casino/hotels
