seriously... see it now, before you go to roo.
...Because we all know that movies based on 14 years of empirical evidence are very accurate when talking about an Earth that has been running on cyclic weather patterns for the past million years or so.
(I don't want this post to be taken as me saying that I don't believe that man is hurting the environment, or that I don't care, I just want people to look at the movie and its facts with a grain of salt)
the Earth HAS been running on cyclic weather patterns for the past millions years or so, but it has not had to deal with human beings for the past million years.

have you seen the movie?
I haven't seen it yet, but I plan to when I get home from 'Roo if its still showing in the area.
As for humans having an effect on the environment, I do not dispute that at all, I just think that viewers should be reminded to view with skepticism any data that concentrates on using only a selective few years worth of data when there are millions more years that should be factored in.
In the stuff I have read, Al Gore has made some good points in the past, but in the last couple years, he has really began to use some scare tactics and questionable data. I'm just saying, let's look at more of the data than 14 years worth; most respected academic journals dealing with science and nature (no matter how liberal/conservative) would shoot down any article that was that limited before it say the light of day.
