I might go i live in minneapolis but not sure if i can get the time off from work It is going to be a good time and a lot of people who were at bonnaroo this year were saying that they were going. Mostly people from the east and north east
This looks like the best lineup of the summer but I'm not gonna make it. It's just too far away for me to take that much time off from my new job, and I couldn't get anyone else to go with me. It looks like I'm headed to All Good and moe.down this summer. I'm gonna try and hit up Gathering of the Vibes too. I gotta get my Yonder Mountain String Band fix somwhere.

I'm jealous I'm gonna miss another Umphrey's latenight. Just can't make it though. At least I'll get an evening set from them at All Good and I have hopes that they will show up during Disco Biscuits latenight set. Enjoy Keller Incident. Thats something I really wanted to see.
Apparently a couple will be married onstage at 10KLF this year. They're running a canned food drive as part of it. (Bring some to give, you'll be glad).

A guy proposed at the Flaming Lips at Wakarusa... He got on stage with his girl after Wayne Coyne asked the crowd if there were any marrage proposals and he gets on the mike and says, "Honey, i had every intention of doing this at Celine Dion in Vegas but we'll have to settle for the Lips, will you marry me?" and of course she's like "FUCK YEAH!" and they made out and it was crazy.... The guy got on the Waka board after the fest looking for pics and video of it and they really are getting married and are trying to figure out how to get the Flaming Lips to play their wedding hehe...
WOW. I just went to the 10KLF site and saw the line-up, I wish I could go! There simply isn't enough time and money... We have farms and wide open spaces in south Jersey! I would like a festival to come to me, haha.
ajay- I live in central Jersey, but I know that South Jersey has more land than around here. I have relatives in Mt. Laurel...Wildwood Crest is farther south than there though. I haven't been to Wildwood in ages, we used to take our family vacations down there.
I would LOVE to make 10k but I don't have the money or enough vacation days left. I'll definitely be looking for the sets online after the festival though. I'm already looking forward to next year so I can plan ahead and save my days for more festivals!
Yeah, I hear ya! I will be back at Roo next year! I'm not too sure what other festival but probably 1 other. I really didn't plan on going to 10K this year but since I had So much fun at Bonnaroo and it is only like a 6 1/2 hour drive, so I have to do it!
As long as I like next year's lineup as much as I did this year, I'll be at roo too! I'd also like to go to All Good, and possibly a few more. Before Bonnaroo this year I had never taken a road trip or camped for a few nights, I loved it! I can't wait to do it again and again and again... I wasn't really into jam bands before I started dating my boyfriend. I've always loved Pink Floyd and Phish and had only been to one Trey show. But now I find that a lot of the other music is starting to sound very smiliar to me and I'm enjoying these "jammy" shows WAY much more! I love the crowd, the music, the whole atmosphere. I'm just disappointed I didn't get into this years ago!
I totally hear you on getting into this earlier. Bonnaroo was my first music festival and I absolutely loved it! I should actually say first camping/music festival. Summerfest starts here today and goes on for 11 days! Going to see Pearl Jam w/Tom Petty tonight!
Summerfest? Why haven't I heard of this? Sometimes I feel so out of the loop! Have fun tonight, that sounds like it'll be an awesome show! Are you going to see anyone else during the 11 days?
I actually have tickets to see Paul Simon on Saturday and have tickets to see the Counting Crows w/Goo Goo Dolls on the last Sunday. Other than that I'll just catch some of the headliners and smaller shows the rest of the days I go. I just spent ten minutes looking at that lineup, there are so many bands I'd love to see! That last Sunday- Augustana is playing with Goo Goo Dolls and Countin Crows, I really like their single that was released, "Boston." I haven't heard anything else of theirs though.
I'm a sucker for the piano and the song has it. I don't know if all their songs do though. I'll have to remember to ask you how they were after you see them on the 9th!
