I made it up to Chicago for their Tuesday night show...
First of all, after the experience of Bonnaroo, it was great going to a concert and having a designated seat where you weren't being trampled or blocked. The set was very interesting. They debuted a new song, All I Need, and Thom played an incredible version of I Want None Of This. For I believe the first time in years, they didn't end the encores with Everything In Its Right Place. And, for probably the first time in ten years, the setlist didn't have Paranoid Android, Karma Police, Just, OR Fake Plastic Trees. I really feel like this was a watershed concert for them in terms of setlist choice.
All in all it was a great show. Anyone else there?
Oh, I forgot to mention the best part... There was a glowstick!!! It came from the first balcony, and landed on the main floor, but that's where it died.
