They are playing Jersey real soon, at the House of Blues in Atlantic City. I'm not gonna make it because I'll be at All Good that weekend and I'll get to see them there. Glad you liked their show, it was their latenight set at 'roo in '04 that got me hooked. I'm real excited for moe.down cuz that will be my 10th Umphrey's show. First band that I will reach double digits for shows with. Gonna have to party hard for that one!
They'll be in NY and NJ soon, I can't make either show But b/c of moe.down I'm not THAT disappointed. They're playing with Galactic, who I'd like to see too since I missed them at Roo.

Umphreys is from Indiana so they used to play all the time here, I remember seeing them my 1st time in this little theater in Bloomington, a ticket was like 7 bucks!
Moe is playin at a great venue in downtown Indy Sunday, but I don't think Im going to make it.
I've been neglecting Inforoo for a while now, but I came back to see if anyone else was planning on going to moe.down. Glad I stumbled across this post.
moe.down falls at a really inconvenient for me, since it will be right after I start grad school classes and my internship, but I'm leaning towards going. After Roo I've been dying to go to another festival, but moe.down seems to be one of the only ones in driving distance. I don't have the funds to fly anywhere and I used all my frequent flyer miles to make it to Roo & back. I'd like to check out Gathering of the Vibes or Camp Bisco V too, but I know I only have money for one of these three festivals. Actually that's a lie, I don't have money for any of them...haha. But I'm going to go to one of them anyways. Any of you guys been to all three of these festivals and have any advice about which one I should go to? I'm leaning towards moe.down because that's the only one that some of my friends are interested in going to see, but the August festivals would work out a lot easier for me from a scheduling standpoint.
p.s. Sorry I just wrote a book. I got a little carried away with excitement about the idea of going to my second festival.

Ah, i haven't been on here in over a month! Anyway, it looks like im not gonna make it to moe.down this year. The lineup just didn't grow into anything i expected it would. Plus, the one band I wanted to see again, Toubab Krewe, i'm seeing tonight for free! So my suggestion would be to go to Camp. If, for some reason i dont spent too much at Camp and find a way to moe.down I still might go, but i dont find that too likely. Either way im sure it'll be awesome.

Just bought my moe.down tix! I used up my last days off too, actually went in the negative. I'll be receiving an email from HR soon, haha. So excited! It'll be nice and cool during the nights and mornings too.
man it seems like ive been gone all summer. havent been on inforoo in a while. i am going to moe down too. i cant wait to see toubab krewe again! i also cant wait to see umphreys and grace potter. i saw both of them at all good but it wasnt nearly as good as roo. mainly because of a daytime slot for umph and grace only got 30 mins. im heading to gathering of the vibes also. im trying to get some friends to stay in ny for a bit and hit camp bisco and moe down but i will prolly end up skipping camp bisco and having to drive back for moe down. oh well a road trip is half the fun if ya dont run into johnny law. the dude im going with drove me nuts at summer hookah so ill probably wander off by myself alot. if any inforoosters wanna meet up that would be cool.

dudewheresmyroo sounds like you really know how to spend your summer. I'd love to go to all those festivals, but I am definitely lacking in money...which is unfortunate because up until the end of August I have the free time (the benefits and drawbacks of unemployment...tons of time, no money to enjoy the free time with).
Anyhow, I decided on moe.down and have my ticket. I don't know how soon I'll be able to make it up there Friday, but I'll be there. I'm either going with a few friends, or meeting up later after I get out of my internship...right now the latter is looking more likely Figures the second day of my internship is the day moe.down starts! Either way, if someone wants to try to plan an inforoo meet up I'll try my best to stop by!
ya its been a great summer. but that poverty things gonna kick my ass all winter. im definitly down to meet up with some inforooers. i am not familiar with the site at all. so i have no idea where the meetup could be. anyone whos been have any suggestions? and im still one of those freaks without a cell phone. im leaving for gathering of the vibes tongiht so ill will check back on here after that. if a good meetup spot dosent surface im sure i can find a phone to use for meetup purposes. talk to yall next week!

It looks like a bunch of inforooers are going to moe.down, eh? My roomate has to miss Camp Bisco so he may be driving to moe.down. If thats the case, i suppose i'll *have* to go to a fourth festival this year...what a shame haha. I went to moe.down a few years ago, its absolutely tiny, but I dont specifically remember a place to meet up, though it would be hard not to find eachother. If I do end up going, i'd definately like to meet up! It would be a perfect end to the summer of festivals.

The Toubab show was AWESOME. It was free and in an awesome park. So good. How was yours?
It's only one day of music, but it's $25 a pop, there's a ceili dance with live music on Friday night, you can camp Friday and Saturday nights, and from all accounts, it's a flippin gorgeous area at the base of the mountains -- same area they hold Telluride, The Folks Festival, and Rocky Grass.

anyone debating on camp bisco don't fucking miss it... it will be incredible... i'd be there even if the biscuits weren't playing but they are going to on the tip top of their game
So, any more info about a possible inforoo meet up at moe.down? I don't remember to check this site as often since Bonnaroo is so far away, so sorry if I've missed part of the planning. ;D
ive been looking around and i dont see anythign about a thursday arrival. so i will probably get there some time in the early afternoon on friday. i sitlll dont have a clue where we can meet. i dont have a cell phone but if anyone wants to send me a pm with a number im sure i can find a phone to use. i cant find anything that stands out in photos or descriptions that would make for a good meetup spot. it says the ski lifts will be open. maybe that will work. although i have no idea if there is more then one lift open or how close it is to the moe down site. oh well if nothing else i think its small enought that yelling inforoo real loud might work.
According to the ticketmaster website the gates open at noon on Friday. Like I said I can't get there until close to 8 on Friday so I'll probably only get to see moe. that night. I'd be down for meeting up with everyone if we can figure out a good spot though.
the phantasy tour people are meeting behind the soundbooth. so that should work for us too. now i guess we just need a time. or a couple of times. i guess we could do one before moe. they play at 1115 so maybe 11 behind the soundbooth? hopefully it wont be too crowded then to find eachother. if so we can do an after moe meetup there. after 10 minutes im sure wed be the only ones standing there. im an insomniac the first night at a festival. i will probably be partying until the sun comes up. whatever works for everyone is good for me.
Only 4 more days!! The anticipation is killing me. Work is going to go by so slow this week. Behind the soundbooth Friday night before moe. sounds good. Assuming traffic isn't ridiculous getting in most people should be there by then. If people think they won't be there by then we could also meet up after. Just to make sure incase people don't get there right at the start of moe.
ahhhh!!!! ive got bad news. im not gonna make it to moe down. my friends car took a shit on him and now i have no ride. so that sucks arse. im catching a ride to hookahville though so all is not lost. it still sucks though. i went from seeing 4 of my favorite bands to seeing some decent music. oh well atleast i wont be at home being miserable. i cant beleive im gonna miiss moe down:( hope all of you have a safe trip and a good time! hopefully i will be able to make moe. down next year.
the big wu plays thursday night. im super excited for that. and im pretty excited about the liquid soul latenight on saturday. the rest of the lineup is decent too although im not familiar with a couple of the bands. but from what they have on their websites or myspaces they all sound like somehting id check out. back woods drifter, sandwal shultzy, crackers and jam, shakedown, the family stone experience, great american taxi, oak hurst and vince herman. should be a good time. i still wish i was going to moe down. but as my grandma would say "wish in one hand and sh.it in the other and tell me which one fills up first" at least ill be seeing u-melt at harvest fest in a month. but im so sad to miss toubab, grace, umphreys, moe, and moonshine still. oh well im sure i will see all of them many times next year.

Sorry I've been MIA for a while. Keith it sucks that you won't be getting to go to moe.down. Hope you can get the money back that you spent on your ticket. You should try to see if there's any forum where you could find someone to hitch a ride with so you could still catch the show.

I didn't check this site again before heading to moe.down. Sorry about that, hope I didn't miss a meet-up. Hope you were able to have a good time despite the rain. There were a lot of ups and downs for my group over the course of the weekend.
But b/c of moe.down I'm not THAT disappointed. They're playing with Galactic, who I'd like to see too since I missed them at Roo.
