I agree Brees is done amazing things this year, but I think you just HAVE to go with Tomlinson. Now if Brees broke that record you spoke of, then we could put him up there.
Anytime you have a back break a record like that, hes gotta get MVP.
Did you know that LT not only just broke the TD record, but he also only needs 3 points to break the most points scored in a single season record held by The Paul Hornung in 1960.
That is a big deal, maybe bigger than the TD record, but I don't think it wil get the hype the TD record got.
In addition, he has thrown for 2 TDs also.
LT has it.
Now if we want to talk about Rookie of the Year, uh, hello, Vince Young Baby!!!!!!!
I think I am gonna start a new thread about ROTY. Go there to discuss.

I hear what you're saying about the TD's, but this is the 4th time that record has been broken since 2000. And TD's can be very arbitrary....take his last td on Suday for instance. Denver turns the ball over on their own 5 yard line with a couple minutes to go with SD already leading by over 20 points, yet they give LT another carry and he scores yet another touchdown. He really didn't do anything their 3rd string RB couldn't have done since the defense had obviously given up, yet he gets the credit.
Not that he isn't having a great year yardage wise too, but Larry Johnson is actually ahead of him. I just look at how much better Brees has been than every other quarterback, and look at the historic turnaround New Orleans has had, and there has to at least be a discussion.
Btw, Brees is averaging 310 yards per game. He needs to average 322 over his last 3 to be the 2nd player to ever have 5,000 yards and 350/game to break the record. To put this achievement into context, only 3 players have ever thrown for over 4,800 yards and it's only been done once since 1984.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
Playoffs????? What are palyoffs??? Oh, you mean the games played by the good teams!!!!! It will be fun to watch. I haven't decided who to endorse.........leaning towards dmb (a fellow tennesean) :-)

Yes!!! I have a fan!!
It's tough when you pull 203.75 points and still lose!
Looking at the match ups, (No offense anyone) I think the loss this weekend helped me. It put me in the lower (#2) bracket and moved you to the #1 bracket. I think the comp is going to be stiffer in the upper bracket.
"What we got here is....failure.........to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. If thats the way he wants it.........well, he gets it. I don't like it anymore than you men"
I know you guys think that one of you will win this thing, but I am only one game back from both of you (Short Bus - and yeah, I know that my points are lacking but it is not about style points - this aint the BCS). I am riding a 10-1 streak going into the playoffs. Thats right, I said it 10-1. Of course after talking smack I am probably going to lose this weekend, but its not all wrapped up for you guys yet. Any given Sunday, or Thursdays, Mondays, with a couple of Saturdays thrown in.
And Urban Meyer is the greatest, bringing my Florida Gators to the NC game, which I will be out in Glendale watching, hopefully a great game (something similar to the SEC championship game would be nice). Anyways, just wanted to give you guys even more reasons to be hating.

That is quite a streak ATL, but as far as your fearless leader goes, he can eat a ****. Check this out....it's from a question and answer thing from a Gainesville paper.
"What player has shown the most improvement during the season?
(Safety) Reggie Nelson. He has gone from being a very good player to the best in the country. He didn't win the Thorpe Award and I don't understand that. When I got here people talked about northern
bias and watching that awards show I'm starting to understand that."
It's one thing to whine about the "northern bias" but to do so in a year where your team got the nod over a northern team, and the winner of the Thorpe award played for TEXAS, it borders on stupidity.

It is true that Urban is a little loquacious but he talked just enough to get us in the big game, which is what a good coach should do. You have to realize that I just suffered through three years of Ron Zook (great recruiter, lousy coach and administrator) so what Urban has done in his two years here is pretty damn amazing. But its not like he is Spurrier with the "You can't spell Citrus without UT" type of comments. At least Urban did stick to his guns and even after we got voted in the BCS game, that he still said the system was inperfect and we needed a playoff system. The four team playoff would have worked beautifilly, this year.
Urban does truely believe that Reggie Nelson is one of the greatest players that he has ever seen. He has stated that if he were to be drafting a college team, that Reggie would be his first pick, so I think that he has a little man crush on the guy. Reggie has won a couple of games for us this year, which is alot of influence from the safety position.
Anyways, the beginning of the playoffs start tonight. Get your helmets strapped on, it should be interesting. Although, it does kinda suck that we have the final game on week seventeen. I am guessing that only Chicago will have locked onto a spot, by then, so hopefully no one else will be resting their guys.
Just want to give you guys props for making it to the finals. My QBs crapped out on me this week, and watching Steven Jackson tear up my fantasy team and my real team (The Skins) was a rough one.
Dmbfanintn, that's a golf clap that you are hearing.

Yeah, this was fun, but I really think we need to come up with a different way of crowning a champion next year, this playoff system sucks. We should really have some kind of voting system to determine the winner. I was tied for the best record and had the most points, yet I didn't make the championship game?!?! That just isn't right. I know that Yahoo didn't want to see yet another rematch between dmb and I, but come on....we are the two best teams!
As the man who is going to win the championship game and the right to display the Inforoo trophy in my signature for the next year, I'm not afraid to say that it is way more challenging, difficult and impressive to win the regular season than it is to win the playoffs in fantasy. Kudos to whoever won the regular season. I'm going to win the playoffs though.
