anybody else going??? i cant wait. i really wanna see north mississippi allstars and deep bannana black out. tea leaf green also. and of course bob weir. the website says they played "a 5 hour all star tribute to jerry and the dead" last year. hopefully they will play that long again. i think there was a thread about this a few months back but i couldnt find it. and for some reason or another my memory isnt very good. so has anybody been before? how big is it? whats the place like. it says its at a country club. so im wondering what thats like.
A few of my buddies are goin. They've been tryin to talk me into coming along. But I already got my V fest ticket and Tool and a whole bunch of other shows, so it's a no go for me. Have a great time.
I was gonna go but I'm gonna hit moe.down instead. I really wanted to go to see Yonder Mountain but I just saw 2 sets of them this past weekend. Amazing show. Those guys are so good. Anyway, all I know about this fest is that the security is run by bikers so it should be pretty chill.
gathering of the vibes was an incredible time. deep banana blackout was one of the best show i have ever seen. martin sexton is out of his mind. he came out wit dbb and asked fuzz if he could do the guitar solo and he went to hand him the guitar but martin ran behind him and did a reach around solo. it was such an awesome show. the next day the rain came. and it rained forever. like 20 hours straight. then about the time bob weir came oon it really started storming. i think they cut ratdog short and everyone orchestra only did about 30 minutes. then the lightning got really bad. it sucked that the rain cut the show short but other then that it didnt bother me. i danced my ass off in the rain and loved it. everyone should go to this. the only negative thing i can say is that we waited 4 hours to get in and it was a small line. maybe a couple hundered cars ahead of us. they were really searching cars. opening backpacks and bags. even checking pockets on bags and back packs. once your in its all good though. we had a five minute walk to the stages. theres no checkpoint at the stage. you can bring your cooler full of beer with ya. also lots of people carried their shade tents down there and set them up to be out of the sun and rain. the also had these awesome bathrooms down by the stages. it was a peremanant building with a couple urinals and maybe 8 toilets. but ht best part was the 24 hour a day bathroom attendants. they were constantly clean and stocked with tp. the porta pottys were wll cleaned too. although there was rarely tp. it was bigger then i expected. semmed to be about the same size as all good. anywyas if you can make it next year make sure you do. i didnt take a whole lot of pics due to rain and partying but i do haave some i will post soon.

Whats up dude? I was there also had a great time. What about Micky and the rhythm devils thought they were sweet too! Enjoyed all the music I saw. I guess I got lucky cause we got in on thursday in 10 minutes. Was completely soaked to the bone sat. Woke up wetter than a fish sunday morning but gave me a reason to get a cool dry shirt. Peace Brother!
ya man i was very impressed with the rhythm devils. we got down there late and i thought we had missed them. but we got there 5 minutes before they started. iw as really good and was more then i expected. north mississippi all stars was real good too. i saw them at the merch booth and they asked me how roo was this year. i had my shirt on. they said how musch they hated not being there and that they truly hope to be back in 07 and expect that they will. i hope so because they put on a great show at gotv.
