Has anyone here attended the Langerado fest in FL? I'm thinking about going, as I might be living in Nashville at the time, and it will be alot closer than Wisco is. Their websit says the initial lineup will be announced next month.
Never been but I always hear it is a good time. I can tell you one of the differences from 'roo is that the latenight shows don't take place at the festival site. They are held at different venues around the city everynight. They are a seperate ticket that you buy.
i havent gone. but ive talked to many who have. the music only goes till 10 pm then ya have to drive to the latenights, whihc require additonal ticket purchases. they arent part of the langerado ticket. it takes hours to get out of the parking anywyas so you will probably miss any latenight you get tix for unless you skip out early on the headliner of the day at the festival. your only allowed to bring in 1 sealed water bottle. and your not allowed to leave the venue to go back to your car or tent. once you are in to their equivalent of centeroo your there for the day unable to leave for anyreason. well you can leave but there is no reentry. and they tax hard for food and beverages because you have no way to have your own food. ive also heard people say it was very hard to find water. and if i remember correctly its at a state park which means the pigs are free to violate your rights like wakarusa. although i didnt hear any complaints about police at langerado. but they can if the want to. there was a lot of bitching about these issues. so hopefully they took notice and will fix the crazy nonsense. i know id love to have a festie around that tiome to help get through the winter. but i refuse to deal with that. dosent sound fun to me.

I went last to Langerado last year and had a great time. Yes--the late night show are at separate venues and that sucks. Also they have a no re-entry policy-that sucks. Buy who know, it may change. But the pigs didn't bother anybody, it was a good vibe.
Other than that it was great. It is more of a commuter fest, so don't expect the community of bonnaro or anything. But it is smaller, so less walking, and the music was great.
As far as vacations go, it was awesome. We stayed on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale, drove 20 minutes to the music, but then had to drive back later. Just don't get too trashed.
