okay, i want everbody to give me their own personal deffinition of love, i'll give mine as soon as i put it into words. i think this will be a fun thing to do.
What is love?.....Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more.
Yeah, sorry I couldn't resist. But seriously, it's pretty cliche, but love IS letting go. Realizing the things you can't change and letting them be. It's not easy, but it must be done.

I agree with 'likecheese'...and I believe love is the answer to a big question in ones life. It may not be a direct answer, but neither are the important Questions in someones life. It's different for alot of people. I myself think more scientificly. (deff. not grammatically)... for instance, I believe love fills a void in people. usually the void is lonelyness, the desire to be accepted, the desire to matter, the desire for purpose,,and so on. you can tell that thease are important issues(questions) in peoples lives because there also exists safe guards and reflexes to such issues. a person who questions his self worth may be more jelouse than most. or a person may be too attached to someone because they are lonely and constantly need re-assurance. the mind will create safe guards and reflexes to counteract that which troubles the individual. alot of this takes place in the sub-concious so it is easy to overlook the obvoise. To any given individual, Love is the best answer a person can come up with to deal with such things. But there is also different kinds of love. and some people understand the importance of maintaining independence from others. the more self realization one person has, the better the Love experience, because it doesn't fall through the "human pitfalls" that is negative reflexes due to inferiority complexes and the like. Love and spirituality are closely connected in that they attempt to answer the Big Question. why am I here, what is my purpose, why do I matter, why do I feel that I am too important to just die and dissapate into dust, why do i feel i am deserved an ' afterlife'.... these are big questions because they cannot be perfectly answered, and with that type of doubt it also brings the human minds attempt to 'solve the comic riddle'. IE, Love.
Back when we were just friends, my fiance would tell me that love was the ability to "just be" with another person. You didn't have to say anything or put on any airs... that you could just enjoy each other's company and nothing else.
