I am one of those duped in working Christmas Day every year(I manage a movie theatre) I usually don't care as long as I can have to R&R either on eve or day with my family.
Last night though, I got calls from my employees that were working the day shift saying they can't work because their family won't let them...so now I have to pull a double. The plus side is that I am going to hit into overtime on top time and a half..that and I told my boss I am taking the day shift on the 30th ( I have off the 31st and the 1st) so I can have some extra time to chill for the new year. Also, the extra money would go toward the VIP fund, so I can't complian all that much.
Anyways, I hope those who have to work are not stuck like me and do get to spend some time with their families.

*waves frantically!* I've been at work now for six hours, only six more to go! WOO HOO! Front desk at Super 8.... at least it's not boring. So far today i've gotten two crazy people, two homeless people, and a police officer to hang out with. AWESOME. My life rocks. Sorry you're in the schmuck boat with me, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
im at work too (xmas today)......havent been to this board in almost 7 months.....funny thing is that i used to check this thing several times a day a couple of years ago.....sure does suck having a real job
it is so slow here today......this is only the second time i have ever been able to surf while at work since we are usually beat down by ppl.....
