I've been desparately watching the classifieds to find some used kitchen cabinets so I could afford to fix up my kitchen before we move into my new place. I'm going to look at some tomorrow. If it works out, I'll be getting an amazing deal and I'll end up with a much nicer kitchen than I would be able to afford otherwise. I'm so excited. These people are even throwing in a bunch of appliances, countertop and sink.
Hooray for rich folks who get get rid of perfectly good things because they want new ones!
Grrr... well, I won't know until tomorrow now... the guy had told me he was holding them for 24 hours for some other folks who were trying to come up with the money. Now he's giving them until Monday. It must be bad karma to hope that these other people don't come up with the money, but I'm doing it anyway. Sigh... tomorrow I will know...
So hopefully, there will be pictures, but I won't post anything until the kitchen is done. Then they'll be before and after pictures. We're actually working on fixing up the whole building. It's over a 150 years old. We're going to live in the apartment upstairs and my fiance will build his recording studio downstairs. So far though, it's been set-back after set-back, but I know someday we will look back upon these times and laugh at the hardships we went through.
well if you were anywhere around here i could help you out, my dads got a whole warehouse full of used cabinets, countertops, and appliances pretty much just sittin there.
you might wanna try calling some kitchen design places in your area and asking if they have any used cabinets or appliances they could sell you, pretty much every job has a load of perfectly good cabinets or appliances that usually go into a garbage bin. or try craigslist.
Woo hoo!!!! I found some! We're picking them up on Sunday morning! Yes! And I like these better. In fact, they are exactly what I wanted if I were going to buy them new! It's just cabinets, but there are a lot of them and they are brand new!!!
