I'm seeing it this weekend. Really looking forward to it.
Just to add a bit, I saw Little Children last weekend, and it was fantastic. Also just watched Idiocracy and Friends with Money on DVD and both are worth your time (Friends with Money might even when you some chick flick points with the girlfriend).
Yes, I would definitely say that it's one of, if not my favorite movie from this past year. Awesome music in it as well. Anyone catch the Pink Floyd reference, I dunno how you coulda missed it actually.

yep Friends with money is most definitely chick flick points. I loved that movie also
^^^Oh yeah, it was there. P.D. James wrote the novel it was based on, so relgious symbolism was going to be in it. However, I thought Cuaron did a great job of not getting bogged down in the symbolism of the story and stuck largely to telling it. Overall, the only truly great movie I've seen all year. Well worth your time and money.

holy hell, i just got back from this movie, and it is amazing....lots of floyd references if you can pick up on em.....his brother lives in the Battersea Power Station that is on the cover of Animals...and there is a flying pig outside the window....sweet....lots of pigs/ dogs/ sheep. i also loved the music....deep purple, beatles, king crimson, aphex twins, radiohead........and michael caine grows weed.....priceless.
I would also recommend Volver to anyone who likes a well done movie. Nothing tremendous, but solidly stellar work from Almodovar. The Spanish speakers are dominated this year. Volver, Children of Men and Pan's Labyrinth are three of the best movies I've seen this year.
