I think the saints had a chance to win next week if they were playing at home, but at chicago i have to say they have waaaay less chance. It would've been very cool to see the saints in the superbowl, but id be pretty suprised if that happened now. BUT, if they do win, that makes it all the more special.
The Saints looked amazing. Brees is probably the best QB in the NFC right now and he has some people to throw to. Bush is a threat everytime he has the ball and Deuce was determined to run over people in his first playoff game. The Bears D hasn't been nearly as good w/o Tommy Harris in the middle because Urlacher gets blocked more now. The Saints would've killed the Seahawks in the Superdome, but this looks to be a better matchup.
I am hoping for a Bears vs. Colts superbowl since those are my 2 favorite teams, but I think that game is FAR from a forgone conclusion. The Saints D is not bad and Grossman alot of times is. That game is still a tossup.

I didnt mean the saints have no chance, but their chance to win greatly decreases now that they have to leave the superdome against a still strong d, the best still left in the playoffs. Theres definatly no guarenteed wins in the playoffs, as we've seen this year.
I dunno, I don't think The Bears are scaring anybody right now. That game yesterday was terrible. I mean sure it went into overtime, but there were soooooo many mistakes. It was like no one wanted to win the game. I'm glad The Bears won.
As for The Chargers......All I have to say is poor Marty. Poor stupid cursed Marty. WTF was he thinking? Challenging that play, then calling the 2nd timeout when he did. Then not running another passing play before they kicked the field goal. I think that loss rests squarely on his shoulders.

In Marty's defense....it's up to the coaches in the box to say if they should challenge a play. Whoever told him to throw the flag is an idiot.
I'm going with Saints and Colts. I picked Saints-Chargers before the playoffs so I still have a chance at being half right. The New England Patriots just won't die!

Yeah, as much as I don't want to see the Patriot's go again (Dolphins fan), it would almost be worth it to see another Peyton melt-down.
And yes, I fully acknowledge that Manning's the best QB in football, but my best friend is a huge Vols fan and while we don't get after each other during the CFB season it's nice to be able to take shots at Peyton, the golden boy.
I Guarantee the Saints will defeat the Bears. They need Tommy Harris as Stich21 stated. Urlacher does not get penetration like he does when Harris is there.
Bears secondary good but not scary, and they way Brees is throwing right now, he could throw to anybody. But Colston, Henderson, and Copper all being mentored by Horn is sweet. You saaw the way Colston responded. Through the first nine weeks of the season he was statistically the #1 WR till his injury sidelined him for a few weeks. Bush and McCallister will keep there attack balanced so predictability factor from a coaching standpoint will be tough to Game Plan for.
GO SAINTS!!!!
Saints vs. Colts in the Super Bowl. I will not make my pick fvor the winner yet as I do not want to jinx my Saints.
I don't like Da Bears so I'm hoping the Saints beat the garbage out of them. The Colt aren't making it out of next game alive. Brady is going to do his thing all over Manning. I'm not a Pats fan. I'm seeing a Pats vs Saints. I personally want the Saints to go all the way and win it.
Peyton hasn't played very well these playoffs. He's due. I say the Colts will win the Super Bowl this year. Not that I am biased as a longtime Colts fan.
im pulling for brady and the patriots. maybe when he gets another ring they will give him credit for being the best qb in the league. peyton has hardly even helped his team in the playoffs. i am also biased though. and my endorsement for my teams in big games has cursed them so far this year. soo.. uhh go colts. but i think it will be the bears and the pats.

Not to Jack this thread or anything but, speaking of Tom Brady.............
A buddy of mine from high school got drafted by the Pats and was a rookie in '04. I had a business trip to Boston during the '04 preseason. So, Matt asked if I would like to go have a beer and play some pool with some of the palyers. I was of course like "He ll Yea!!!!" We went to a pool hall/restraunt in downtown Boston and of course got the royal treatment. Sat in a roped off area, didn't have to wait in line for pool tables.......ect. Anyway, Matt introduces me to some of the guys and one introduces himself as "Hi, I'm Tom Brady, you probably don't know me. I'm just a 3rd string quarteback" I went ahead and giot their autographs anyway before we left that night. The next day I was telling my instructer about my evening. Told him I got a few no name Patriot autographs. He asked if he could have them anyway cause he was in some crap with his boss. Not thinking I has much anyway I gave it to him.
Needless to say I gave away the autograph of a Superbowl MVP and Hall of Famer. I kick myself everytime I think about it!!!
well i didnt imply he didnt get credit. but from what i see manning is usually gettting the credit as the best in the league. but hey, ill take chamionships over stats and whatnot..... we already know we dont agree on that
and tough luck knoxville. i know how it feels. i had kirby pucketts autograph from when he played with th toledo mudhens. its probably worth a fortune today. i have no idea what happened to it. oh well hind sight is 20/20

Man, I hope the bears get destroyed. Living so close to Chicago and dealing with all this overhyped media over a Bears team that was solid AT BEST gets old really quick. Their play has gone downhill just about every week since mid-season. If anybody has the opportunity to put them in their place, it's the Saints.

That's right, I forgot Tom Brady was solely responsible for every single Patriots win
Put Manning on the Patriots and they do just as well.

well for the 2nd post in a row youve quoted me and then responded about things i havent said. whats that about? at any rate, brady has a lot of talent around him. and peyton has had a lot of talent. and if they switched teams then i believe the colts would have won. everytime.

just trying to talk football man. but thanks for the input. and the, uhhh.. apology
did anyone see that michael vick got busted trying to sneak what sounds like hash onto a plane. he had a water bottle that was cut in half (or security cut it in half)and there was some type of secret spot behind the label. they found a sticky substance that smelled like marijuana.

I think this match-up could go either way. It could end up depending on whether Joe Horn plays/contributes. The Saints D is not good. I'm downloading the Eagles-Saints game right now because I'm so anxious for Sunday, but I already know the Saints back seven is weak and good Rex could absolutely burn them if they establish the run. I just hope Cedric Benson gets his carries, he's looking better every week.
Brees, McCallister et al could burn the Bears, though to. The Bears CB's are capable of playing really well, but the biggest Saints weapon is going to be getting the Bears nickle package on the field with the threat of the pass and Bush's speed and then hammering the middle with McAllister. The game will really come down to how the Bears respond to that (and whether evil Rex shows up). Anyway, its fun as hell to look forward the NFC Championship game like this.
Also, Bellichek is a true football genius, and could eventually win with any organization.
Brady is a really good QB with huge balls. Manning is a great QB with tiny balls. The guy is ultimately soft. It couldn't be more obvious. The Pats will beat him because of this as they have for years. Didn't we settle this already?

The saints are definatly gonna have a hard time covering the deep ball. This isnt the bears of midseason though, i think the saints will be able to run. Also, if joe horn plays will be a big factor, because then your starting 2 receivers are very physical, which can neautralize the physicality of the bears db's, which is their strength. If devery henderson has to start i think that will hurt a lot, and the bears will be able to neautralize him. If there were any two linebackers that could take care of bush its briggs and urlacher, although i think they'll have troubles with deuce. I'm definatly excited for it though, it will be a good game. I believe it all depends on which rex shows up, as ka mai said.
