I had the incredible pleasure of meeting Mr. King. We won passes to meet him on his tour bus after the concert. He has to be one of the nicest people I have ever met. At the time the guy was 78 years old and it was 11:00pm by the time the concert was over. On top of that we were the last to get to met/photo opt/autograph. He offered us a drink and shot the bull with us for at least 30 minutes!!! At one point telling one of his handlers it was ok (I guess the guy thought we were keeping him too long) Since we were the last ones it was just my wife and I and BB shootin the bull on his tour bus.........like old friends!!! AWESOME!

I hope he recovers quickly.

Yeah, B.B. hung it up last year. Not saying Bonnaroo is out of the question, but as far as I know, he's done touring. I was holding out hope last year that Superfly would make him the artist in residence since his tour had a gap right around Bonnaroo, but none such luck. Still Buddy Guy kicked ass...

It's amazing how many "farewell tours" an artist can have. Cher came to Dayton TWICE on two separate farewell tours in less than three years.

Guess I will just keep my fingers crossed till the 14th. I mean, hey, we got Buddy last year, so why not shoot for the moon this year?
