Thanks man. I had Carson Daly on in the background until I read your post. Conan ended and I didn't feel like looking for something to watch, so I suffered.
Richie Havens is one of my favorite shows I've ever been too. Me and my friends were all up close (as were a hundred or so other folks) and a ton of people were hanging way back because it was raining and they could get shelter if they stayed further away. When the show was over, he showed his appreciation to those of us braving the rain to be up close and see him play by giving out a hundred or so free copies of his new (at the time in 2001) CD to everyone who stayed up front. I enjoyed his music alot before, but at that moment I realized how cool a person he was too.
