Trying to institute a ban on something that is perfectly normal everywhere else is much like trying outlaw ice cream consumption. Some people may feel that it's bad for you, but that doesn't give them the right to stop anyone else from doing it. It's natural, it's harmless and (more importantly) it's LEGAL! This is so ridiculous that I almost can't believe that it's not a joke!

they should really focus their attention on something important instead of banning a harmless activity and bringing the wrong kind of attention to themselves. the administration clearly has it's reasons for instituting this ban but they are ignoring truely dangerous practices like running with scissors.

You all seem to forget that the young people who attend this college are willfully submitting to the rules the administration sets forth. This isn't Nazi Germany (sorry for the cliche); these kids are not being forced into a "no dancing" policy because they've chosen to attend the school and they are free to leave at any time.
But no, I'm not anti-dancing. Hell, I agree that it's very difficult not to dance when RR is playing. I just wanted to be the voice of reason.
