I'm not a dreadhead...probably never will be. My hair is super-fine, and it breaks really easily. I think other girls look cute with dreadies, and I have to admit there have been times when I've been jealous...in my line of work I could never get away with it, either.
Oh well. Maybe I'll temporarily dye my hair purple for Roo or something.

i dont think britney spears will be getting dreads anytime soon. apparently she was all messed up on something. kept saying she just didnt want anyone to touch her.

Let me put it in other terms because most people talk like they know sh*t about addiction and theyre clueless. If you're a good old normal american girl, love your daddy, come home on time, dont have group orgys, etc. Lets say you dress a little permiscuously and you happen to get raped one night. One might say this would cause good old Ms Sweetheart to re-evaluate her dress code, correct? Is she extremely concerned with how others view her? No, she made one small innocent mistake and winds up dealing with it for the rest of her life.
Wow, you are a sad, sad person. I'm very sorry that you so vastly misunderstand both the motives of a rapist and a woman's role in being the victim of such a horrible act. People get raped all the time, and if Ms Sweethart had been dressed in an ape costume it wouldn't stop the sick as sholes that get their kicks from the violent act of rape. I hope you get some help and understanding about the way real life works.

i'm not sure how a woman can dress "promiscuous." "revealing," maybe, but even is she does, that's irrelevant since rape is about POWER and NOT sex.
when my friend was raped by a guy she knew, it made her re-evaluate all the men she trusted in her life, but no time was ever wasted on how evaluating her clothing choices.
i'm sure you didn't mean anything by it, and probably didn't think it through, but this was a bad, bad, example.
Mine were never itchy, but they sometimes hurt, kind of like a really severe case of hat-head.
i can understand that... i had that head of braids thing done once in mexico and by the end of the week they kind of hurt... although that might have had to do with the sunburn all over my exposed scalp

Nope, no dreads here, thought about it for a while but my hair isn't right for it. Oh, one thing, if you do have really long dreads and like to dance in a tight crowd and whip your head back and forth... be concious of where your dreads are. I caught a dread to the eye at a show once and thought I was blind, (in one eye anyway) well it wasn't the case. I see just fine.

I had dreads up until this December... now, much to my disfortune, I simply have hair.
