Favorite team is the Pittsburgh Penguins, and I read this morning
THE PENS ARE STAYING IN THE 'BURGH!!!
;D ;D
They finally got a deal worked out for a new arena (which Pittsburgh needed more than they needed PNC Park or Heinz Field) and they're guaranteed to stay for 30 years.
"Chicago is known as the Windy City, and Montana is called the Big Sky State, so I think that we should somehow combine the two to create the ultimate kite-flying experience. "-Mitch Hedberg
but i mean, i'm gonna say what everyone whose favorite pro teams suck says...i don't like pro sports. college is sooooo much better.
college football/basketball: notre dame and the ohio state university. and no, i'm not a fairweather. legitimacy = being from columbus and going to nd.

Fair enough with me, i enjoy baseball, just was checkin to make sure you werent saying baseball was less corrupted by money. ;D The big spending doesnt really bother, except the ridiculous rules in the NBA like dress codes and such, but i'm not much of a fan of dynastys, so i prefer the freeagency era.
yeah, i mvery aprtial to baseball (mom used to work for the Braves, Ive been playin since I was 4 etc, etc) so its very easy for me to look the other direction when it comes to that stuff in baseball but with sports Im not so into, it sticks out liek a sore thumb. speaking of the Braves, I miss the old crew and havent been too happy with the direction Schurholtz has been taking the braves. he had an opportunity to get Glav back but gfave it up to a few extra cents (to spend on what?! more inexperience).

NFL - Carolina Panthers (season ticket holder before we even had a team) College Football - Appalachian State (1AA National Champs 2 years in a row!) NHL - Carolina Hurricanes (the Cup looks finer here in Carolina) NBA - used to love the Hornets (F-you George Shinn!), now root for lowly Bobcats MLB - no favs, do enjoy watching the Braves implode in the playoffs every year... Soccer - US national teams

Going to the Ann Arbor on 9/1?
Don't I wish, if only to see the Mountaineers get a chance to play in front of a crowd that size. App lost their opener last year against NC State, then never lost again. They may lose this one too but I don't think they'll embarrass themselves either... (Maybe they can make Adam Sandler eat his words!)

I'm sure App St is at least on par with some of the MAC schools UM plays, and they don't regularly slaughter them, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a somewhat competitive game for a half or so. Michigan is going to be loaded on offense though. That said, I'm sure they'll pound the ball most of the day.
Damn, I'm not getting the Sandler reference....what did he say?
