damn gerogetown is looking tough! they took pitt apart. i was expecting them to win but figured it would be a good game and not a blow out. cant wait to get the brackets and start filling them out. which brings to a question. can we fill out more then one bracket for this or are we sticking to one per inforooer?
GO BADGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is going to be interesting tonight at 6. also if nc state wins they take away a slot for an at large cause they arent getting in if they dont win the acc.
damnit. the last 400 teams ive rooted for have gotten destroyed. even when i was rooting for the big ten to win the national championship in football the bucks got crapped on. so i am now a buck fan. go bucks! there gonna walk away with it!! no one can even touch them. ya go bucks!!!!!! (you guys are screwed now)
honestly i think its between florida and georgetown. cant wait to see the brackets!

OSU is playin pretty solid right now. Wisconsin isnt as bad as the Bucks made them look today, they're still a top 5 team, so that just shows how good OSU is playing right now.
ya im not taking anything away from them. to be up by 6 without oden even attempting a shot in the first half is impressive. i still think florida should get the overall 1 seed but its hard to argue aginst the bucks. id say its a tie and we all know that florida has a spanking of a tie breaker. whos your 1's? i gotta go florida, osu, georgetown, and kansas. and it looks like purdue will make it in.. thats good news.

does anybody else kinda dislike the automatic bids??? it does add to the drama. and i love rooting for a cinderella story. but to me it seems like it should be the best teams in the country regardless of what happens in the conference championships. especially the second rate conferences.

I dont think those teams really make a difference anyways, its not like the team that could be there over them would be much better, if at all. My number 1's right now are OSU, Florida, Kansas, and UNC over Georgetown. We'll see soon enough, im psyched to get my bracket figured out.
Btw, I have to say that it strikes me as utter bullshit that Florida got the 1 seed based on talent. Yes, they won the SEC, but this year, what exactly does that mean? SEC is fourth or fifth on the totum poll in my books.
ya but florida is the team noone wants to play. how about those big ten nay sayers. we got 6 in. hopefully they will do something with it this time. but i think its a given that they will. cant wait for thursday!!

Have my bracket done for this group. I wanted to get it up before i was tainted by all the espn picks and brackets. I only have Stanford winning one game, but i think they could make a run. UNC over Florida this year, but i have OSU winning another one of my brackets. They obviously have the skills, its just a matter of composure, since they're such a young team.
I hate Florida so much and I hope they loose early. Noah makes me crazy. He looks like he was engineered in a lab, and something went terribly wrong. NO MORE FLORIDA CHAMPIONSHIPS PLEASE.

Yeah, I'm sort of a Big 10 neysayer. I don't think Purdue or Illinois really belong. Same sort of goes for some of those Pac 10 teams. But then to each his own.
And as for Florida, I think Georgetown might be more feared...
very true. i really thoguht gerogetown should have gotten the number one seed over unc. but int he end it worked out for them. i think they have an easier road to the elite 8 then unc does. cant wait for that game. assuming unc and georgetown make i th that far. but i imagine they will. i will be pulling for the spartans to upset the tar heels though. i dont think illinois wil make it anywhere. and purdues got florida in round 2 and msu has unc in rd.2 so they are both likely out. obviously i expect osu and wisconsin to go far. but i think indiana has a good shot at getting failry deep. ucla, pitt and duke have all showed weaknesses and i think the hoosiers have a chance to roll into the elite 8. i dont see them getting by kansas though. maybe we will get lucky and so. illionois will take out kansas. not matter what it should be a helluva good time watching it all unfold.

VT and Southern Illinois dont really impress me.... Illinois has a ton of potential, they just haven't played up to it this year. I think you cant overlook them. Indiana needs to get by Gonzaga first too....
damn.. i cant wait til thursday! ive got mine done but ill probably cange it a couple times. depending on how i fill out my other brackets. cant wait to see what yall picked.
so are we sticking with one bracket a piece?? i wouldnt mind doing a couple of different ones. but if we arent all doing it ill just stick with one.
is anyone waiting for the results of the play in game or is everyone thinking its safe to take kansas now?? ;D

I've got Kansas, Oregon, Georgetown & Ohio St. in my Final Four with KU over Georgetown in the Final. The big upsets in my bracket are in the Midwest with both Wisconsin and Florida going out in the first weekend to A&M-CC and Zona respectively.
These predictions will no doubt change as the week progresses...

I feel ya on Illinois, but Purdue belongs. They have wins against Virginia, Depaul, Missouri, 17pt win over Illinois, 13 pt over Indiana, 24pt over MSU. To me they're definitely the 4th best team in the Big 10, and say what you want about the conference, but the top 4 or 5 teams should be locks every year.
^^^Considering two teams out of the Big 12 had 22 wins and were left out, I'm not entirely sympathetic towards the Big 10. Kansas St. definitely belonged and Oklahoma St. might have been on the skids at the end of the season, but have as much talent as any of the sub-Wisconsin Big 10 teams in the tourney. To be honest, I kind of feel Tech getting in was a bit of a sham. Conference record in the Big 12 is entirely overrated considering there was only 1 truly bad team (Colorado). Even Baylor was good enough to push Texas around a few times.
No worries though. I think there's a decent chance the Big 12 puts 3 teams in the Elite 8, and I have KU winning it all with their sheer depth being the main factor. Outside of maybe Florida, there is no team in the tourney that can throw 7 or 8 starting level players at you.

20+ wins ain't what it used to be. Count Michigan in as another 20+ team that didn't make it. I think I heard there were something like 78 teams with at least 20 wins this year.
Ok St did have some good wins, but if you lose 8 of your last 10 and have a 6-10 league record there's just no way you're going to make it. Those two factors are just too big to ignore.
Kansas St had a couple really nice wins at USC and Texas, but they didn't finish well either ending 4-4. If they would have beat either Nebraska or Ok St in February they'd probably be in, rather than a 2 seed in the NIT.
We'll see how it goes. I think the Big 10 and 12 are pretty similar. Should be interesting to see who does better in the tournament. The Big 10 has done a good job in recent years without getting much respect beforehand.

i'm in. i love my heels, but i think georgetown is gonna own them... especially if hansborough's vision is still being hindered by his mask.... thank god for our ACC championship... calling florida.... theyve got some big boys in there... play a rough game.
