well oden might have played his best game as a buck tongiht. and they got spanked. he just dosent dominate. i think hes overrated. and for his size he should dominate. hes an underachiever. imo. i dont think he will do much in the pro game

Congrats to Florida, but im just pissed that OSU had this game well in hand, but couldnt hit anything.
When exactly did OSU have this game well in hand?? I know it would have been a different game if OSU hit their 3's, but they didn't, and they were trailing the entire game. Sometimes your comments mystify me.

OSU played solid for the first 10 minutes but you just can't win a basketball game with such pathetic perimeter play. Oden put up huge rejections against the Gators almost everytime they tried to post up.... that his team never recovered. Squandered opportunities were the story for the Bucks last night.
The officiating, well, the refs might as well have been wearing orange and blue pinstripes. It was pretty sickening to see that classless, Michael Jackson-lookalike Noah celebrate such a tainted victory.
Oden's success in the NBA will depend on whether he's surrounded by solid guard play and teammates who actually capitilize on his defensive stops.

I mean there was never a point in the game where it seemed like Florida was just too much to handle for OSU, in that sense the game never got out of hand, therefor it was in hand. They just didnt hit any shots, or capitalize on anything.

Greg Oden will be a beast in the NBA, no matter when he leaves Ohio State. The guy's 19 or 20 and was playing with a busted wrist for most of the season, for God's sake! All he's got to do is get a little more of a mean streak and stay out of foul trouble.
I think Oden's dominance is a relative illusion at this point. You play with a bunch of college kids where they don't call that many fouls, and you're going to look like a beast. In the NBA, it just doesn't work that way. You can't do what Shaq did and beef up because they're calling games more tightly than they were even 5 years ago.
Don't get me wrong. I think Oden's going to be very good at the next level. But on a Alonzo Mourning or Dikembe Mutombo kind of level. Great on defense, mediocre on offense and still worth a lot of cash. I just think it will take him awhile to not get in foul trouble at the next level. The fact is most every veteran NBA center already has Oden's body and is smarter than he is cause they've been around longer. I think he's got four or five years before he pays dividends to any team drafting him.

i agree about oden. his dominance is non existent. sure he gets blocks. hes not bad. but look at him!! hes a man amongst boys. hes under achieving if you ask me. and his best game of the season was the championship. and the bucks were dominated. true stars dominate the game. and that leads to wins. oden had a good game but he in no way dominated florida.
and i will always hate on anyone that was, is, or ever will be a buckeye. but its an "all in good fun" type of hating. i dont wish any harm to bucks or anything like that. its just the way it is between u of m and osu fans.

For the record, in the second half Florida led by as many as 13 and no fewer than 6. Everybody is entitled to their own interpretation of events I guess.

He's 18. And he dominated Florida, i think he wont be a bust, but you really never know.
Oden is 19 years old.
He's a great defensive player and rebounder, but could really use some work on his offensive game and overall basketball IQ. One more year could really help him out, but he's going to be the #1 pick so you can't blame him for leaving.....I guess I should say, if he does
