This is like March Madness but with Bands instead, kinda fun. 2 of the brackets have been finished. Now it's on to Brackets C and D. Round 2 of the tourney starts on March 26th, be sure to get your votes in !
I had to pick between Barry Manilow and Rancid, and so help me God, I chose Manilow, lesser of two evils. It's the closest thing to voting in a presidential election, I can think of.

That's nothing 4% of people voted for Big & Rich over The Beatles. Some people may say that the votes went that way "Because some of us don't like the Beatles" It still makes no sense. That's like saying "I don't like getting the flu, so I'll take super-AIDS".

Round D has some brutal matchups. Yes vs. New Order. Nick Drake vs. ELO. Chuck Berry vs. Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds. XTC vs. Dead Kennedys. Televison vs. Sleater-Kinney. The Stooges vs. Massive Attack. Phish vs. King Crimson. Prince vs. De La Soul.
Jack Johnson is in serious danger of getting beat out by OK Go. Weird Al's beating the Roots. Heart is killing Broken Social Scene.
But by far, the most fascinating matchup is Belle & Sebastian vs. Megadeth with B&S holding a slim lead...

Okay, so I stopped right after the Ray Charles vote to post earlier, but now that it's excutiatingly complete, I must say that I feel dirty. Some of those picks were down right creepy.

Somehow AFI continues to make it through the rounds, they are scarily close to Pink Floyd right now...Pink f'ing Floyd. We gotta make sure that AFI doesn't make it through this round, everyone please vote! I know this is stupid, and it shouldnt make a difference, but could you all really live with yourselves if AFI fans somehow got AFI to beat Floyd?!?
