Alejandro Jodorowsky's El Topo and The Holy Mountain are getting proper dvd releases in May. To celebrate, Abcko films has been touring a brand new 35mm transfer of the films around the country. I saw both film last weekend in Austin at the Drafthouse, and the new transfers are beautiful. The tour's more than halfway over, but it still hits a few more cities before it's outright released on dvd. I highly, highly recommend catching the viewings if you can if you're a fan of Jodorowsky's or guys in the same vein as Jodorowsky (Fellini, Lynch, Gilliam, Bunuel).
Here's a list of the cities the films are scheduled to play in: JACKSONVILLE - SAN MARCO THEATRE - - ET & HM- 3/23/07 - 3/31/07 KANSAS CITY - SCREENLAND - EL TOPO & HOLY MOUNTAIN - 4/11/07 THRU 4/18/07 SAN FRANCISCO - RED VIC - EL TOPO & HOLY MOUNTAIN - 4/22/07 THRU 4/30/07 LONG ISLAND - CINEMA ARTS CENTRE - ET & HM - 5/9/07 THRU 5/23/07 PHILADELPHIA - INTERNATIONAL HOUSE OF PHILADELPHIA - DOUBLE FEATURE - 5/26/07

Anybody else caught these screenings or dig either movie?
