Has anyone seen this band play? They're coming to my town and I'm wondering if they ever bust out the Airplane material instead of their 80's corporate rock.
The Airplane is one of my fave band of all times. I would'nt get my hopes up if I were you. It reminds me of seeing G. Clinton and P-Funk. Great, great band; But these days Clinton is known to cover Lil' John and talk about how he smokes rocks. Ever scince "We Built this City", I can't see going to a Starship show without feeling anything but dissapointment.
how is it being billed ... we saw an airplane show last year that had kantner, and balin (also country joe) with some chick singer that covered slicks vocals ... they did mostly early airplane tunes and it was a really good show ... cheap too if i remember ... they did so some "crap" like we built this city, but actually it was ok since i havent heard those songs in ages ... here are a pic of kantner from the show ..cr***
