This show gets better every week. I just started watching it again, because i thought the beginning of the series was kinda weak, but its gotten way better.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

I love this show! Dwight is funny as hell! Steve Carrell does an amazing job balancing between likable doofus and ignorant jackass! Oh yeah.......PAM IS SO UNBELIEVABLY HOT!
I just bought the first season of the original (British) series and it may be even funnier! It's definitely more adult/raunchy than the U.S. version. It's really kind of creepy how similar Tim (Martin Freeman, "Arthur" Dent from The Hitchiker's Guide...) and Jim are in their expressions and demeanor! Carrell was the perfect choice to play Ricky Gervais's character! If you like the American version (as much as me) and you haven't seen it (U.K. version)yet, you should chek it out.

Yeah, I always feel like a snob when I say this, but the original is so much better. Maybe it's because I saw it first (I have a few Welsh friends, so I have a head start), but man, it's fantastic. It's some how more subtle and more over the top at the same time...really hard to describe, but wonderful. Plus, the British have a habit of ending shows after 1-3 seasons (the Office at 2) so you get a very clearly defined story arc, which I think makes things better. Definitely worth your time or Netflix spot or 40 bucks for the whole set.
That said, the American version is great too. It's one of the few TV shows I go out of my way to catch (that and Simpsons reruns...the DVDs aren't enough).
"You'll notice, I didn't have anybody being Arab. I thought that would be too explosive, uh, no pun intended. But I just thought, "too soon" for Arabs, maybe next year. You know, the ball's in their court."
That line is worth the hours I've dedicate to that show by itself.

Hey I'm not the only one... I saw the British virsion first as well... and believe it or not refused to watch the american virsion when i heard they were doing it (now you dont feel so snobbish in comparison to me huh?) its not until this season that a friend convinced me to watch it and i had to go out and get the previous seasons dvd's...
I do love me some Jim/Tim... the character(s) are just so endearing amid all that chaos
the british version is definately funny but i definately like our version. i'm a huge carrell fan and huge fan of the show from the very first episode that was shown. the shows tend to be similar but i believe now our version is heading in a differen direction as the british show was only two seasons. i do like both don;t get me wrong. i just like ours better.

I must say I love how deep they have gotten into the jim pam thing... what can I say i'm a sucker for the comedic romance... I'm just hoping she grows some balls and goes for it... (no offence to any karen fans).... and I hope to god they dont throw toby in the mix just because they can... cause for some reason I feel like the writers are just itching to do something like that

I have to admit that I like the American version better. I tried out the British version, but I had such a hard time understanding what they were saying...some of them had a thick accent and it was hard for me. I like the US version better.... ???
This show just makes me freakin cracks up every week. I think that working in an office with cubicle type set-ups helps add to the humor of it all. Dwight was so funny this week. In dull staff meetings I like to think about who in my office would be the different characters. LOL LOL
