I try to take the karma thing in stride; it shouldn't mean that much, and, after all, easy come, easy go. But since my karma has fallen by, as of right now, 15 points within the last week, I have to sit up and take notice. I looked at my 10 or so most recent posts and I don't seem to have said anything that really offended anyone, nor do I feel that I've said anything inflammatory, so I'm at a loss about this. But it also seems so sytematic that I can only assume it's one person who is continually hitting me. So here's what I wanna say to that person: I'm sorry for what I might have said or done to offend you! I'm not here to flame or beat on anyone, so if you are bothered by me I hope you'll understand that I don't mean to be a bother. I want to respect your anonymity, so we can just leave it at that (with or without you continuing to smite me), but if you'd like, I'd be happy to privately discuss what may have offended you. I swear I'm not out for vengeance, I just want to keep the peace.

wow, you've never said anythign that i thought deserved a smite. in fact i think i've exalted you numerous times. if i hadn't just given karma i'd exalt you now.....good luck on finding the beast
Even when people do smite you for a reason, it's hard to tell why or why not. Most argument smiting will only knock you down a few points, so I'd go with ziggy on this one and say it's probably some bored 15 year old with nothing to do but act like a jackass.

man all your guys karma is good. Mine sucks...I know I get in some heated debates but my negative karma was given to me by the most popular person on the board .....and that is the dude who is looking for 'roo ,,he managed to get me in this situation in little over a week......I kind of like it though...a badge of honor

Lol. I agree that karma is really arbitrary around here, without any sort of message to go along with it. That said, why are you apologizing for something you think you didn't do? I don't get it.
DANG, I wish my karma was as low as chicagorooer's. Please smite me, y'all. I'm a glutton for punishment. If you need a good reason to do so, here it is: bonnaroo sucks.

Because even if I unintentionally offended someone I still feel for them. It was mainly just an olive branch, a way of saying that I have no hard feelings and hope we can just get over it. I still feel that way, even though I'm still getting smitten. Ouch!
Pay no attention to the mad smitter. He seeks out those that are pure of heart and indiscriminately smites them. There may actually be a small clan of mad smitters that roam freely throughout the land. WARRIORS, COME OUT AND PLAY!!!
