Ditto!
In my tradition (Eastern Orthodox), we fast from all meat and dairy for Lent, then there's a friggin' huge feast after the midnight Easter service. And remember that this is the faith of many Greek, Arab, and Russian cultures -- people who know how to celebrate, and don't skimp on the booze either. It's kind of funny when people ask what you did over the weekend and you say that you went to church and partied until 5 am.

Happy Zombie Jesus Day!
Haha, karma for you, I found that funny.
Not religious at all, but gotta support the parents who are. Right now my mom is cooking some bacon and eggs while listening to the easter hymns.
I'm 18 years old and I still get an easter basket.
Same here. I was raised as a Lutheran. Despite the fact that I've become agnostic over the years, it's still one of the few branches of Christianity that doesn't outrage me. In a nutshell they believe you don't have to go to church and give money to be a "good Christian".
I was set to go eat dinner in the city with my family tonight, but last night kind of spilled over into this morning. I meant to hit the drunken ramblings thread, but I hit my bed first.
I'm 22 and my Mother still gives me an easter basket, Valentines day gifts, big X-mas, the whole 9. Some parents are just like that.
I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
Happy Easter to everyone! This is the first year in my life that I'm not celebrating Easter... kinda battling a hangover, so I skipped Mother and her boyfriend's dinner. I will try to make it tonight for left-overs ... :} Easter has always been a favourite, except as a kid I always hated having to get so rediculously dressed up for Easter Church.

But anyway, Happy Easter Inforoo.

whether you're 5 or 45, everyone should recieve at least one chocolate easter bunny a year, if you're Christian affiliated, as I'd like to refer to myself...(raised southern babtist, now a skeptic.)
