^^^yeah - but how much do ya have to go through to find the good ones, huh? I am lucky - I did the "retro-date" thing and called up an old boyfriend from 15 years ago and we both realized we should have been together all along - but oh - the horror stories of dating just to find that one "good" one
I hear ya on that one. It's hard, but when you finally do, it's magical. (For me, anyway!) Makes all the losers even more loser-y...err, something.

ive only had one date, where i kept asking myself how i got into that situation. it was fairly recent too. *blushes
i was bartending on a friday night (a little busy) but i kept noticing this hottie sitting at a table making deliberate eye contact with me. of course i would smile and do the little cutsie things girls do when theyre flirting back. he was getting ready to leave with his friends but he stopped by the bar and asked for my number. i explained that i didnt give my number out to customers, but he persisted, "let me buy you dinner then, you do eat right?" i ended up agreeing to meet him the following evening for dinner.
i arrived a couple minutes early, and sat down at the bar to have a cocktail. he came sat down, and ordered a water. i laughed at first, and said something sarcastic about him being hung over from last night. to which he responded: "i dont drink." warning bells go off. all of his friends had been drinking the previous night, but i hadnt actually seen him drinking. i blow it off. i make small talk, he barely answers, doesnt even look at me. finally i ask how old he was... 18 he replies. i almost fell out of my seat. you couldve bought me for a nickel, seriously. i felt like a rapist. this had to be some mommy's little boy. *shudders...
i only had that one drink, and ordered the cheapest thing on the menu (i didnt want him spending all his allowance on one dinner) he actually got up the nerve to ask if he could come back to my house. long story short i said no.
im an idiot, but there was no way that kid looked 18, i swear.
of course i would smile and do the little cutsie things girls do when theyre flirting back.
so uh ladies, can we get like a comprehensive list of all these 'little cutsie things' so that stupid men like me know when they're being flirted with? kthanks
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

I second this motion...I've been single for longer than I care to admit right now, and when I'm out with girl friends they'll say to me afterwards "why didn't you go talk to that girl?? She was totally checking you out"---to which I respond, "Thanks for telling me 20 minutes after she leaves." You ladies may think you're being obvious, but apparently we don't see it. Please give us a hand.

Don't smite me for this or anything but I personally think that guys really do have a more level headed thought process then us girls... but then again that could be because i've never really had any good "femalian" friends... or at least not kept one due to various circumstances involving that whole lack of level headed thought process
Woman want men to be: a friend, a companion, a lover, a brother, a father, a master, a chef, an electrician, a carpenter, a plumber, a mechanic, a decorator, a stylist, a sexologist, a gynecologist, a psychologist, a pest exterminator, a psychiatrist, a healer, a good listener, an organizer, a good father, very clean, sympathetic, athletic, warm, attentive, gallant, intelligent, funny, creative, tender, strong, understanding, tolerant, prudent, ambitious, capable, courageous, determined, true, dependable, passionate, compassionate

totally love that femalian btw
and i tottally agree wiht you're opinion. it may be steming from the 2 years of socialogy i'll be doen with after this semester, but we spent a lot of time talkign about the difference between men and women

Yeah I'm deep into psychology right now and it's totally affirming everything I've learned in the past five years of social experience with females... I may sound sexist but at least its against my own gender... OK i guess that doesnt make it any better... but at least i know i'm just as bad as any other
See I disagree, I am femalian (I like that also ) and I know exactly what I want and what I don't want out of life. I really am not sure any of that has to do with gender. I think that has to do with age and life experience.
Find a man or woman who has been divorced and they can tell youexactly what they want or don't want if they choose to get married again. Find a man or woman who has been fired or downsized from a dream job and they will tell you what they want or don't want from a career.
Gender doesn't play a role. Age and life experience are what makes you know what you want.

Communication is where it's at, yo.
I don't think it matters what gender you are...I believe some people are just messed up and don't know how to communicate their needs/wants to other people.
Take, for instance, my boyfriends mother. She's completely crazy. He is less crazy. She would be less crazy if he would listen to her when she complains about their relationship. He's not receptive of her wants, and she's oblivious to the fact that her being irrational won't help him want to help her. It's a neverending battle because they don't know how to communicate. Pretty damn funny to watch, though.
