this isn't so much a single bad date, but a bad dating experience.
i met this guy last summer, and we sort of hang out with the same group, so i see him around a lot. on march 26 we were at a show and i was working at the door, so he made sure my beer glass was full all night, and was really sweet and flirty and stuff. so after the show we go with some mutual friends to play pool and exchange numbers and what not.
2 days later, he calls and wants to meet up, so i head over to where he is, we have a great night, him holding my hand and touching me just enough that its not creepy. i'm pretty stoked because i sort of know him, we have mutual friends already, same taste in music and similar interests. and he really seems to dig me. so he comes home with me, and we had an incredible night!
so we hang out for a few days, but then he gets sick and cancels plans with me one night. thats cool, i went out with some friends and it was all ok. turns out he's sick for almost a week, but when he feels better he gets in touch with me to see if i want to get together. of course i do! then he drops a bomb an asks if i've been with anyone else in the last week. no, i tell him, not even thinking maybe i should have asked him the same thing. so he comes over, and all seems fine, then all of a sudden he's like, well i have to go to a going away dinner, i'll get in touch with you later and we can meet up. well, he doesn't get in touch, and the next night i see him in a bar with a little blonde girly. so i walk up to him and say "maybe it should have been me who asked that question". he was all "what do you mean?" but i'm not a dumb girl, so i left.
well i thought that was the end of it, but the next day, i'm drinking beers at a buddy's and dude's truck pulls up, i guess he heard there was an impromptu party. but then he sees me, drops blondie from the night before off and drives away. 10 minutes later i get a text message from him telling me to chill out. i have yet to respond.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

I really don't think that I can compete with some of these horror stories. This really isn't a bad date but, it was kinda weird.
I moved in with a friend of mine and was immediately warned about how annoying the "loud-ass lesbians upstairs" were. And they were! I started working at this restaurant and quickly made friends with this girl who turned-out to be one of them. I knew she was a lesbian, just not one of my loud neighbors. As we became friends, I couldn't help but notice the gay-pride flags, wall to wall "Xena" memorbilia and an intense preoccupation with Melissa Ethridge. I hadn't needed any convincing but, their apartment did away with any questions that I may have had. Oh, and they shared a bedroom (in a two-bedroom apartment). One day Rachel (my friend from work) asked if I would do her a favor and take her 'roommate' to see "Being John Malkovich", since she hated Malkovich and refused to go herself. I agreed. A couple of days later Rachel asked if I would take Hilari to see a play, since she hated plays and refused to go. I agreed. Then Rachel asked if I would take Hilari to see "Dogma" since she had to work that day. I agreed again. I was starting to feel like Rachel was only being my friend so that I would babysit her girlfriend. While I had been having fun, I was starting to get a little annoyed by it. During our "dates", I started to notice a weird vibe between us and was beginning to think that Hilari was noticing how I was starting to feel.
To make a long story short (too late), Hilari wasn't Rachel's girlfriend at all. We were actually dating and I hadn't figured it out yet. It took 4 dates before I started to figure it out. I guess that explained the weird "vibe" between us. It was a great way to start a relationship, actually. There was no pressure whatsoever (for me). They were probably some of her absolute worst dates though.
Hilari and I have been together for 7 1/2 years now.
Not a "bad date" story but, it's all I got.

i once went out with a girl i knew from class. we talked for like a month before we actually went out and she was always really cool and had the same general interests as me. we met at a starbucks, and i was expecting it to go well since i already kind of knew her and liked her. the first thing out of her mouth when i sat down was "just so you know, i'm allergic to latex"
i was a little shaken cuz it completely caught me off guard. how do you respond to that? the rest of it went well so i guess it's really not a bad date, but it's the closest thing i can think of.
I cannot think of any more bad date stories - anyone?
not really, i dont do many blind dates or go out with someone i don't know that well, so most of mine don't turn out terrible. i have a pretty good date story now, but that's for another thread
