I think that it would be pretty cool to compile a few rare videos of Mitch Hedberg shows and play them at the movie tent. It would be an appropriate way to honor the legend. What do you all think

I wrote my own inspired Mitch Hedberg joke once.....but have yet to put together the rest my set to start my own Mitch Hedberg Joke Cover Comedy Tour.... (they have cover bands don't they!!!)

Well, I don't think he meant to kill himself.....but yes he did use drugs. Drugs, like many other problems people face is an addiction. And one's triumphs and success should not be erased due to his battles with drug abuse or any other personal matter for that case...
George Washington owned slaves....yet I'm sure you spend money with his face on it!
My point is.... We are not putting Mitch Hedberg on a pedestool because he snorted herion. We are discussing what he brought to the table as a positive. His personality, stage presceence, and overall unique comedy style (although he's heavily influenced by Stephen Wright)
So be Positive fishinjax...... don't pick out his one bad trait and highlight it above everything else....
(the bands your traveling to see (and pay for) probably use some sort of mind altering sunstance.....coffee, weed, cigs....something.
So really fish.... you by paying for ticket, might even pay for some of those bands to do drugs.
(you might not want to come and help contribute to that)

Jim belushi, jim morrison, Elvis presley, janis joplin, hendrix, jerry garcia, Bradley Knowlle and many other americans should also not be put on a pedastool (according to fish)
So don't talk about their achievements or what they may of contribute to american culture...lets focus on their drug use and erase the postive!!! Who is with me!!!???
wow, you can justify just about anything with that rationale. how's that working out for you? i'm actually a very positve person but choose not to glorify someone who killed themself with drugs. he was addicted to heroin because he started doing heroin in the first place and that led to his death. i don't want to get into an arguement over merely stating my opinion. you have your view i have mine. i can't wait for june in tennessee!
