I got a peak at work today at the running time for Pirates and if you include trailers it will run 180 minuites. For those of you that are lazy to add that up it will be 3 hours long! Ouchy!
As much as I'm looking forward to Spiderman 3, Pirates 3 (I went to 2 in costume), Shrek 3, and the Simpsons, my "other" vote is for Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight which is supposed to be released this fall. It's based on my most beloved book series of all time that I first read 10 years ago. I am still in love with the characters and the world they live in and when I found out this movie was finally being made I almost pooped myself.
Many fans are disappointed that it will be animated, but I always figured that's how it would be. They'd never get the budget to do a live-action version right (and it would have to be on the scale of LotR to be right) so animation is the perfect medium.
It's still unknown whether or not it will have a theatrical release or go straight to video, but I will be there with bells on when it does whatever it's going to do.
