Sorry fellow roo'ers for the rant, but i have to get this imaginary, and completely fictional story off my chest.
It's 2am EST. In 19 hours there's going to be 300 drunk college students, and a band playing in my house. Me and my roommates are kind of known for massive college parties so we're throwing a cinco de mayo party. Our last party, Halloween, had 250 people. I have people coming from 3 different states, 30 bottles of vodka/rum are in my closet, and 4 kegs are on their way tomorrow beforehand. I have a crew of 10 people to work several positions such as bar tenders, bouncers, outside security, front door supervisor (exit, make sure no sneaking in). We'll have a covered area of 30x30 outside via tents/tarps, with tiki torches by the lake so no one fall in. We're even having a film crew film the party for a dvd with pro equipment, and film tomorrow afternoon, the behind the scenes set-up. Forgot to mention the stage lighting for the band and bar. This party will cost $1,300 to create and maintain.
Ok so now you realize how intensive and massive this thing is. I can't sleep, too anxious about everything that can go wrong. And I just got a call from the band saying they are only getting here at 10pm since 7 cars are following them. The party starts at 10pm, and the band on at 11pm so I can't have them show up during it. I begged them to be here at 9, and they said they'll try.
Ok, I'm done. I feel a little better, but still have a sunken feeling in my chest.
I'm gonna watch Joe vs The Volcano on On Demand and hopefull pass out soon to finish setting up tomorrow morning
"They won't break me because the desire for freedom, and the freedom of the Irish people, is in my heart. The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show. It is then that we will see the rising of the moon."

Sheesh man, we would have parties of 50 at our place and that seemed massive.....I hope you own this house, because if you rent, your landlord is not going to be a happy camper when they see the carpet.
We had some octakeggers+ back at TU, but one of the roomates worked a part time job at a carpet company. We just covered all of our carpet with older carpet they'd pulled out of peoples houses when replacing the carpet and ours looked nearly new when the landlord showed up
So now its 11am the next morning, headcount was around 320, the inside was packed but the tents outside helped out. The band PA actually went out when they started. So basically they were playing the whole night with no vocals. It was an instrumental ska show and everyone was into it and dancing. Forgot to mention, a random kid just happened to have a trombone and decided to jump in and jam with the band. There was a 66 year old guy that that treated a few people to an L, and about 7 older people, 35+, that happened to see the set-up and checked us out. They were going to go to the bars but liked the party better. Over all it went pretty swell, no cops so that helped.
The only crappy part was the fight. A drunk kid who lost his phone was being violent and yelling looking for his phone. At one point he hit the bass player of the band in front of me. I take the bassist by the waist and break it up and put myself in front of the drunk. Of course I also got hit but the difference was that I have 4 years of martial arts on me so I took him down, held his face to the mud and yelled to stop being an not a very nice person. His other drunk friends did not like this and they were ready to jump me. I get up only to notice that now there's 3 fights going on. They all combine into a brawl pit and I'm behind the car watching to make sure no one is getting hurt too bad. We saw this wasn't gonna end and to protect the safety of the guests we called 911 and right away everyone left. One cop car came but everyone left by then so the cop left too.

Looks like it was quite the rager. Do you have these often or something? Were you celebrating something, cause that's quite a huge party to have "just because."
It was a cinco de mayo party, my dog's birthday party, one year anniversary from the first party, end of year party, graduation party, start of summer vacation party, live music concert, my roommate's 25th birthday party, end of film shoot party.
This is the third party of this size that we had.
Oh, and I had to wake up to find a naked girl and guy on my couch. They're from New Jersey.
