How do you guys tie dye your shirts, I'm planning on doing it to my inforoo shirt once i order it, but I've never done it, therefore I have no clue what supplies i need. Thanks.
It's really easy I used to do it a long time ago, with no idea what I was doing. Get some RIT dyes from the grocery store, pick up a bunch of rubber bands there too if you don't already have them, tie your shirt in as many knots and twists as you can, keep it in a stable shape and hold it together with the rubber bands, follow the directions on the dye, soak as many colors as you want on different areas of your shirt knot, trying not to let them bleed together. Let the shirt sit overnite, untie and there you go! wash it in cold water with nothing else you wouldn't want to be colored.
with RIT dye will be hard to get bright colors unless you soak it like ^^^he said or the other option is to not add as much water as they say on the instructions, about a third as much, or use three packets of dye.
Pick up a kit at Wal-Mart or a craft store, there's a bunch out there. The dyes are easy and they come with bottles that have a nice pointy tip. The usual disappointment for first timers is that they end up with way more white than they expected. After tying, pull the folds apart and force that tip right into all the crevices to soak as much of the fabric as possible.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
i'm going where the sun keeps shining, thru' the pouring rain, going where the weather suits my clothes. backing off of the north east wind, sailing on summer breeze, and skipping over the ocean like a stone.
