I am bummed because I have a horrible "star crush" on Chris Robinson - I just think he is yummy - don't ask why - I have no idea - I got to see him with New Earth Mud at Jubilee Jam here one year - and it was great - I was right at the front of this lttle bitty stage so close I could have touched him.
I know, it seems every year at nelson ledges quarry park they do the pink floyd weekend the same weekend as bonnaroo. I had the same thought as you when I noticed that this year. Boo.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
Yah, this will be my first year in about 5 not going to Jubilee Jam. Being from Jackon it's been a part of my summer. But now since I live in Nashville Bonnaroo is close and alot bigger than Jubilee Jam. So in my eyes it's a good trade =D

Yeah - I hear ya - I have been to every Jubilee Jam and this kills me - but Bonnaroo is worth it - but still - The Black Crowes - I mean that would just be awesome - since you have been to Jam - you understand - small stages - not way way crowded - good music - fun times
^^Yeah, The best time I had there was 3 years ago i believe. Watched NMA jam and then saw David Banner. Yah the small crowds are nice not to long of a walk from parking and the area downtown there is always something to get into. What part of MS are you from ?
im 19, I lived in Madison till I was about 2 moved to Louisiana and moved back to ridegland in the 1st grade; then just recvently moved to nashville. It's possible we know some of the same people
Hmmm- hate to say this - maybe not - I am old - at least older then you - but we do have alot of friends in their early 20's and of course, most of our friends have younger brothers and sisters. Did you graduate from Ridgeland High or Madison Central?
yeah - she did - not sure you would know her - she kinda stayed in trouble there at the end - should be graduating this year but quit instead - got GED and went to culinary school in Atlanta - not sure who else you might know -
I mean - I am 38 - and have a daughter who will be a Freshman next year - how is Ridgeland High? I mean really? Give me the scoop from a teenager's perspective - because of course the principal, counselers and teachers have no idea what "really" goes on
Ridgeland is a really good school, I didn't realize how good it was until I was done though. Most of the teachers are actually there to help. Some of them can be very hard. Request Mrs. Pearcy for math(Def. the best i have ever had) Mr. Boozer the principal is pretty fair I was in trouble a few times and if you actually keep good grades and dont do stupid stuff he is really good about treating you right. The sports are good. its a really good school.
Good - glad to hear that - my daughter is in AP classes and stays out of trouble - not a jock by any means - one of the emo type tho - that is just the way she dresses and her music but she tends to hang out with the smart kids.
I figure - as long as she stays out of trouble, gets good grades and stays away from the illegal substances - she can dress how she wants and listen to what she wants.
just tell her dont go to overboard with the differnt clothes. I know its not a good thing but they discriminate about that just be careeful I got to get out of here though Ill check tonight and give you some more infoi
Yeah, well I hung out with everyone while I was there and I noticed that they will kind of pick on the different kids. The Principal is a good guy but he is a redneck and you know that thats something they will look at. They would give me the dirty looks when I wear a Bob Marley shirt and things along those lines. It's a very good school though, She shouldn't have to much drama to worry about if she hangs out with the smart/good kids. The preppy girls always have something to whine about and things like that. The Lunch is not bad, it has a pretty good selection. Everything is up to date in that school. I would like to see the new Auditorium they finished it after I graduated. The art department is nice. Mr. Reeves is a really good guy he does ceramics and Photography (Both good classes). I'd like to hear the teachers she gets whenever yall get a schedule Ill tell you about them If you like =D
Definately will let you know about the schedule - as far as we know she will be in the following classes
AP English Geometry German Choir Keyboarding Biology U.S. History/MS History Ap Written Communications Geology
She said she cannot remember what the other semester is when she gets done with keyboarding tho. I talked her into taking Geology to get the science stuff outta the way. In exchange - I agreed that she could take German instead of Latin (she originally wanted to take Latin until her friends talked her out of it)
Yeah ya'll should hook up with either wooz or me. We'll both be sporting the tricked out DeLorean Time Machine's to this years Roo. I'm even hooking up wooz with a Mr. Fusion. So I'm sure either one of us would be willing to hook you up with a quick ride as long as you got some trash to hook us up with! I'd love to catch the Crowes!

Not sure about the biology teacher they got a new one this past year. Shouldnt be to bad
Yeah - she and I both figured with Latin - once she had that down - the other languages would be easier - but she just had to take German (maybe I can send her over there for a foriegn exchange student program) I'll let her know about the English thing - she just mentioned Mrs. Duckworth to me last night said that her best friend told her Mrs. Ducksworth was racist???? ANyway - oh yeah - do you know Chris Bettes (he graduates this year) - his little sister is my daughter's best friend and their mom used to teach at the High School

Spanish would be a better bet. More pratical
I completely disagree with spanish being a better bet.. Spanish is a beautiful language, as are many beautiful languages. let her pick one she wants to do... just because a lot of folks speak spanish around here doesn't mean all of our kids need to pick that one, just my thoughts.
Edit: oh and once you know one second language in the latin family, learning a third is EASY
