Its funny that if someone died who had strong beliefs but was of a liberal persuasion and conservatives made comments about them, everybody would be jumping down their throats. Liberal thinking can be some of the meanest, least tolerant thinking there is. Listen to the hate filled spew of Jesse Jackson sometime. Or what about Farrakhan? Talk about a brand of hate. And the media has the guts to call his religion a religion of peace.
Oh yeah. Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, Savage, Bortz, etc. are bastions of kindness. I feel the warm glow of their loving presence everytime I turn on right wing radio.
Man, I need to quit getting into politics on the Roo board. Peace Brothers!

I don't really think politics can be brought into this conversation.
Me neither. I'm a liberal christian, some would think that's an oxymoron.
Personally I have no idea if he's in heaven (whatever that is.) To try and say definitively(sp?) is just another form of judging someone. And we all know "Judge not..."

You have every right to believe whatever you want to believe, just as I do. My problem is that when the lefties smite the righties everybody goes hurrah. If the righties have the nerve to smite the lefties they are called mean spirited, hateful, etc. Doesn't seem to be the same.

I wasn't saying you couldn't believe what you wanted to believe, but rather that this wasn't a thread about righties v/s lefties. I don't think anyone said anything about righties or lefties.

i'll admit it...i cheered...i'm glad to see him gone. those a$$holes cheer when gay soldiers die and picket their funerals. i'm not gonna go that far...but i gave my husband a high five.
The people that are picketing funerals is a real hate group out of Kansas or somewhere. I think the guys name is Fred Phelps. He does not represent the Christians of America any more than Jack Kevorkian represents the medical community. Just because you have a wacko that calls himself a Christian does not mean all Christians (or even any other Christian) thinks that way.
