I'm a huge 24 fan......didn't catch the fever until Season 4, then caught up on DVD.
Even though this season wasn't up to par with some others (4 was my favorite), even a "bad" season of 24 is better than the best seasons of most shows, IMO.....
I'm surprised no one mentioned that Jack's father could easily have escaped death before the platform was destroyed......the little motorboat was right next to the area where he was shot. Don't be surprised if he (and the chip) show up next season.
I was thinking about that roorunner! His death wasn't a "confirmed" one.. we didnt see his body... you never know
anyone know when 24 will air next season?
It always starts up in January, nowadays. That way, they can run every week until the end of May sweeps. They even mentioned it at the end, where the previews for the next episode normally run.

I thought day 5 was probably my favorite, and day 6 my least favorite. I was so disappointed with this season, but they'll pull it together again, I'm certain.
day 3 kicked ass, although naked kiefer in day 2 wasn't too shabby, but kim and that whining brat killed it for me. i enjoyed the finale this year, but not as much as the simpsons 400th episode, that cracked me up!!

To regurgitate what others have already said, this season def did have its ups and downs, but on the HOLE, it was pretty entertaining. I really don't like how incredibly formulaic the show has gotten as far as the conflicts, their climaxes, and the resolutions. If you watch enough of it, particularly marathon-style, you can pick up on the ebb and flow of action in the show...for as intense and exciting a show it is, it really is pretty predictable.
personally, nothing will top Season 1...maybe because it was the one that sucked me in (i sat down to watch the first episode and test it out....i wound up staying & watching the first 12 in a row, then bought the rest of the seasons), or maybe because it's just so damn badass. After that, S2 and S3 are equally awesome, S4 was the "worst," S5 was on par with 2 & 3, and S6 is somewhere between 4 and 5.
all in all, it's still my favorite TV show, and def one of the best TV shows ever created..

oh yeah, it's addictive
I'de rather get the DVD and avoid the commericals......every time I watch 24 (which BTW is every episode) I get disappointed becasue the hour goes by so fast......
I was'nt sure if Bauer was gonna be back for another one, but looks like they said he is at the end there.
I bet next season, they show the chinese coming to rescue that dude they got at the end.
