That's pretty awesome. It looks like it's really hard to actually purchase one. Like you have to get an appointment with the maker in Switzerland and buy it but they're only available during certain times of the year. Weird stuff.
two people make them and you have to make an appointment almost a year in advance. All the drums for this year are already sold/reserved. I will definitely be trying to get one next year. You have to take a trip to their shop in switzerland though....which would be awesome anyway.
thats like an inside out steel drum you hit with your hand but it sounds a lot cooler than steel drums that you hear in reggae music being hti with mallets (those sound cool too though). cool sh!t though. you win my nightly karma point.

Am I the only one who's skeptical? How can you get such a range of pure tones from hitting it with your fingers? What other percussion instrument, played with the hands, and with no moving parts sounds like that?
