Just laughing at the fact that - once again - I don't think I have postaed anything controversial lately - not even sure I have been opinionated - but I happened to notice that I have lost karma again - I ws at 80 -
Now - all in all - it really does not matter to me - I would hope that at some oint IRL - I will receive good karma - and the virtual karma here does not matter in the scheme of things - just find it wierd that someone apparently cares enough to go around smiting people.
Im willing to believe where you lost your karma is the same place I lost mine. In the religious threads... Anyway, Karma to you to help build it back up. Your awesome.

Megan - I'm 100% anti-conservative, anti-republican and anti-religion...but you are a thoughtful, honest, friendly, open-minded, good natured, tolerant and decent person (despite my personal beliefs). Mad karma is coming your way for just being REAL. (when I have some) I dig that in a person, no matter what religious or political affiliation they may have.

Maybe it's not anything you posted lately. I've rarely smited anyone, but anyone monitoring my smites/exalts would ceratinly find them random. I check inforoo daily, but there is so much said here that sometimes I'll miss a thread or not get around to reading the complete thread for some time.
When I do give karma, it's because something I read was profound or made me laugh out loud -and- I am able to give karma at that moment. Occasionally, I have realized the post that spurred me to exalt was actually 3-4 weeks old! So all I'm trying to say is maybe whoever smited you is someone who only logs on once or twice a week and read something they missed the past few times they logged on, and disliked something you said (although I can't see how) that you had completely forgotten about.
I like to give the benefit of the doubt (some say to a fault!) so I don't want to believe that anyone is smiting because of personalities or avatars or random meanness.
I've noticed the same thing. Karma just drops a few points for no apparent reason. I can understand if you've posted a political or religious post but the mad smiter is totally random. Some people get their kicks in strange ways.
I take it like a case of the Inforoo Flu. It just travels around and hits people at random. No big deal. Karma to get you back to 80.

I just lost all of mine too... I think there should be something that pops up when you click Smite that asks for a reason as to why you are smiting this person, and the reason "I disagree with what they say" should not be allowed. But then again, that'd be a ton of work for the mods which would be a pain for them.
Oh well - thanks everyone for the karma - apparently someone is targeting me - because I lost everything ya'll gave me plus a few more - I don't stress over it - in some ways I think it is pretty funny and was tempted to start a thread like Oaty did just asking everyone to smite me inorder to take away the fun -
but decided just to leave it alone and let it play out.
It all balances out in the end. Take comfort in knowing you have a lot of good karma coming somewhere.
ya know - that is kinda what I was thinking. Whoever is smiting me - obviuolsy does not see what a great person I can be at times and will prolly never get a chance to see that - oh well - their loss.
