Both TN houses just passed a $0.42 per pack tax increase on cigarettes. The governor is sure to sign this so cigarettes will soon be going up at least $4.20 a carton. Get your cheap cigareetes while you can.

I swear the only reason I'm not a chain smoker is because I'd be broke if I was. I love me a good smoke during the day... but since most of my smoker friends go through a pack a day, I sure don't want to drop $4-$5 a day just on a habit that could eventually cause me illness.
...But I forget about this minor tidbit for Roo, and will be bringing atleast 5 packs with me. Probably more.

I have an extremely obsessive/addictive personality. If I smoked cigarettes, I would quickly be up to 2 or 3 packs a day. I'm SO glad that I never started.

i've had 2 cigarettes in the past 2 months. my girlfriend was a habitual smoker for the entire duration of our relationship (3+ years), and she just decided to quit last december and hasn't smoked a single one ever since. i was always a social smoker because the taste was so bad to me that i never could become a habitual smoker, so now i don't even entertain the thought of a cigarette with girlfriend being done with them. i'll probably smoke a pack at roo though, some things just go hand in hand with a cigarette.
I hate that every time a state needs money they tax cigarettes, it's because smokers are in the minority, so they have no say, I think in a lot of places the taxes for smokes are higher than the actual price.
