I really like this show, but then again, I love anything that Eddie Izzard does. The finale wasn't great but, I didn't think it was all that bad either. The problem with a show like this is that it's virtually impossible to keep it going very long.

Agreed. Which makes it's "in the middle of a scene" ending all the more perplexing. And not in a good way. When they return, Sam will look markedly different with age (look at how Walt has changed in Lost) and more but they will have to recreate the moment they left the action. It's just weird. I rewound it twice to be sure that was actually the ending and my Tivo didn't cut it off or something.
I've loved Eddie since first seeing him on Saturday Live (the UK equivalent of SNL) in the early 80's, we have all the CD's and DVD's and it's a family ritual to listen to them on family trips ("You're Mr Stephens?" kills the whole clan), but I couldn't get into the Riches at all. I gave up eaarly in the series - glad you guys enjoyed it but I guess what I love is Eddie's Englishness...
We only watched the first 6 or so episdoes of this show before me and my friends just sorta found other sutff but either way it was a great show.
Funny enough...the lady that played the mother of the gypsy tribe..the wife of the leader that died and mother of the but bag son is the grandmother to my roomate. have met her a few times and she is sooo sweet and thought it was a blast to act alongside Izzard and Minnie (sorry fun fact that I had to brag about...woohoo I know a TV star)
