I know there are alot of Atlanta people on this board, so I'm wondering what Atlanta has to offer. I will be in Atlanta for three days after Bonnaroo and I'm looking for some suggestions as for what the cool spots are down there - particulary cool places to go see, eat, bars to check out (not clubs please), open air markets, headshops, etc? Let me know and thanks.
I LOVE the Little Five Points area in ATL...it's funky and fun! The food at The Vortex is great, esp the burgers! And they have a HUGE beer selection if that is your thing - Hoegaarden on tap!....wonderful fried zucchini as a side instead of fries if you want- yummm! And some of the funkiest shops....really cool....that would be my suggestion. It's just a little east of downtown...off Ponce De Leon....
go to piedmont and wander around. its huge and really chill. theres screen on the green which is free movies each thursday at piedmont park. they are doing ET one thursday this sumemr i think. go to the aquarium

Screen on the Green is really cool! We just got back from "Car Wash" and we had a lot of fun! There were thousands of people there. We drank some wine and chilled and totally ignored the movie. A band called "Heavy Mojo" played before the movie and the overall vibe was amazing! They're screening "E.T." the thursday after roo but, I'll have to miss it. We're going to Kentucky for Hilari's grandmother's 94th birthday right after we get home.
MindExpansion- I know that we had talked about meeting up when you guys come to town but, unfortunately we won't be around. Since we skipped Hilari's grandparent's 60th anniverary, she really doesn't want to miss he gm's birthday. I hope you understand.
