boss made me stay late today, his reason:
"While other people take vacations to go to the beach with their family, you're just going to a big music party. I still am giving you your vacation, but I think you could handle staying an extra hour today just to get a bit ahead before you leave"
Today was supposed to be a day to wrap up a bunch of loose ends and ease into a vacation mindset. Instead, from 8am on it was a complete slapfest at every turn with 90% of my day focused on things that weren't even on my radar. These emergencies lasted all the way to 5pm, through my lunch. I'm so freakin stressed out now and TRYING desperately to unplug from the machine but I really didn't want to be in this headspace right now.

I'm all EFF work today because I think i need to ask for a raise. More work, more new projects, paper getting bigger every week, Consistently staying later for it to get done.

Hot damn!! I'm on VACATION!! I've been telling my employees since last week that if they do anything to jeopardize or even think of f*cking with my vacation, that when I got back, be prepared to meet your new boss...Mr. Royal Sonofabitch Pain In The Arse Muhfuggar!! I told my boss that I didn't care if we were the last 2 employees working for the company, I'M GOING TO BONNAROO!! So yeah, phuck work cuz I'm going to Bonnaroo and their not. I'm cool, they suck. End of story.
Same thing here - it was nonstop from the time I got there until I left - I did not even have time to inforoo today - this is the first chance I have had to stop and take a breath - but I am on vacation now!

I'm having a hard time getting anything done at work. I still have another day and a half left and it's killing me!! I just want to be at the farm now.

I took today off work because I knew there's no way I'd be able to make it to TN tonight if I did, and I must say... sitting around the house waiting is not much fun either. Atleast I get paid to sit on inforoo at work... But still, eff work.

I'm right with ya on that... I'm leaving at 11 pm tonight and driving 7ish hours to get there. I had planned on just sleeping all afternoon, but we can see how that plan worked out... Day before Bonnaroo=no sleep.

Thanks for signing my permission slip. :-) Luckily, I won't miss any of Friday at all, just Thursday night, and I'll get in around 1:30 AM so I'll still get to wander around a bit and enjoy part of the evening. Even so...sucks to be me.
