so i watched this movie...or about at least 3/4 of it lastnight called Stay, it was visually stunning and very entertaining, a true work of art.I tuned in when the guy visited his psychiatrist and predicted the hail storm ( for those who have seen the film) and i think i may have missed some critical infomation contained in the begining because the ending kinda didnt fit as neatly into my brain as i would have liked it to. anyways if anyone has seen this then post something that would help me figure this out...please. ive been jostling this around in my head all day. Your help is appreciated
I think I missed the beginning too, but as I recall, my take on the movie was just that Ryan Gosling (the young guy who isn't Ewan McGregor) was in a really bad car wreck (either before the movie started or at the very beginning of the movie - like I said, I think I missed the beginning as well) and Ewan McGregor, along with others, are trying to help save him from dying. So, pretty much the whole movie is the story that Ryan Gosling's mind makes up to try to cope with/understand/come to the realization that he is dying. Not bad, but I was hoping for a bit more than just "it was all in his mind." And, of course, if anybody disagrees with me, I'm willing to consider the possibility that I might be wrong about what was going on.
Yeah Hilari i was thinking what you thought too and i too was hoping for more than an its all in his mind ending but what doesent fit is the wedding ring he was holding at the end and how the two females faces kept swaping out and both women were there at the accident scene. i guess the best thing to do is buy it and watch it one or two more times. what a great movie
At first I was like, "what the hell is this movie about and there's no way this can be good!!", but then I let myself finish it and it was welllll worth it!!
