So I know there was a thread relating to venting about work before Roo but I can't find it for some reason anymore. So here's another one, but feel free to lock if the other is found.
Friday at 2:30, just wasting time and counting down the remaining time until 5:00 and the weekend and my supervisor comes up and tells me I need to have a full experiment report written up before I leave today. This obviously will take until after 5:00 because it involves research on how to do certain tasks. I'm a part time worker that works full time every week. Exactly 40 hours so there's never any overtime. This week, If I stay after 5 today I will have overtime hours, which requires time and a half pay. But, my lovely supervisor said "By the way, if you haven't finished by 5 you're going to have to work off the clock because we can't fit any overtime pay into the budget right now, so work quickly"
They pull something like this every Friday it seems. So frustrating...
^^^^ Ummmmmm - that would piss me off royally. I am willing to bet - if I was in your shoes - I would be jobless because I would have told him to do his own farking report

I think I've decided I'll work on it until 5 and get most of it done, and then leave the rest to do for Monday morning when I return. It's been a long enough week already, no reason to end it on yet another sour note
EF That dude. It sucks cause you probably cant do a damn thing about it. Damn the Man
U R right!! Damn the Man!! And also, if you're working the hours (if you're a by hour employee) then you should DEFINITELY be paid!!! That's crap!! if ur not!!

you have grown in post count quicker than anyone i have ever seen on inforoo, including oats welcome to the board (even though youre not new i dont think ive given you a formal welcome) karma to you. im somewhat drunk off of my friends wine so sorry if this is random or rambling.....okay im pretty fcking drunk. time for sleep................................

Ha, thanks for the welcome man. I started my job this summer where I more or less sit infront of a computer for 8 hours straight, so I can't help but post on inforoo for the majority of that time. Hooray for drunken ramblings! ;D
