Hi all. I am not sure if I am the only one in this particular club. I have to ask: Is anyone pregnant during this wonderful experience? I am five months myself making the trek from New Mexico and would love to catch up with anyone in the same reproductive boat. ;D

there was someone from canada posting about vegan food on another one of these pages a few days back. she is also expecting, you should look at maybe the logistics page.
For any other Moms or Moms to be out there, please send me a line. This is our first baby I would love to share the joy, rub the bellies and listen to any non-horrifying labor stories......I have had my fill of the horrible ones.
Thanks I am going to really take it easy. I hear that some of the tents are going to be air conditioned so I will definitely be taking advantage of that. I had a scare earlier last week where I thought I was contracting but I was just dehydrated so that really bought the lesson home for us on the importance of drinking lots of water. We are driving in from New Mexico where the weather is about 100 degrees but it is a dry heat. This is my third Bonnaroo and I am always surprised at how hot it is! I never heard that anyone gave birth at Bonnnaroo.......Hmmmmmm....although I am sure that many new souls were conceived on that field. he he Thanks for all your kind words. Bonnaroo is such a joyous place that I am sure our baby will feel the good vibe.
Congrats on your awaiting arrival fremon! Considering you're 5 months...you should be OK at roo. I've been to shows while pregnant...in the heat. Mind you....3 day camping was not involved....but it's a good thing that you're at 5 months...and not 7 - 9 months. You'd Truely be miserable then. You're body is tough...you're baby is tough...don't get too stressed out while you're there....Babies don't like stress! Just drink enough water...and people will def. make room for you in a shaded or tent area. I loved going to shows while pregnant.....People are always so helpful....and my 5 year old laughs her but off when I tell her that she saw DMB and other bands...while she was in my belly.
I will post and hopefully meet up with you imakeycaca. I think the baby and I will be fine but I truly appretiate all of your advice. We are leaving tomorrow at early o'clock to begin the soujourn to Roo. Color us excited!

Reviving this thread because I am going to be 7 months pregnant at Roo this year - if there are any pregnant-Roo veterans with tips for me, I'd love to hear them! (This will be my 6th year, so I know all about water/sunscreen/shoe rotation, etc. - any specific gear or other strategy recommendations would be super helpful).
Really hoping security doesn't give me flack about bringing the spray fans into Centeroo this year.
I have also switched to cot life in recent years and am thinking that might be best option for sleeping? Let me know if that is not the case!

Have never been pregnant at Roo but I am a mama and a doula and generally pregnancy/baby obsessed human and I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!
You may want to consider planning a diet with plenty of magnesium and potassium at Roo bc the heat may contribute to those pesky leg cramps toward the end of pregnancy. I also highly recommend bringing a kiddie pool or something to do epsom salt foot baths each day.

I was a Jazzfest pregnant in 1998, (granted not a camping festival but still hot as balls and I was 7 months preggo) and I would highly recommend the epsom salt and kiddie pool. I know for me, it was so balls hot that I had to go sit in the mist tent to cool myself down at one point and roo is just as hot, but you will be at your tent probably during that super hot time. Plus, you are always hotter when you are pregnant. I seriously think that is a great suggestion.

1. Congrats! 2. If they give you crap about a spray bottle, maybe invest in one of these personal fans. It hangs around your neck and blows up at you. I had one last year and lost it during mumford and thought I was going to die on Sunday without it. It truly was a lifesaver. It's an O2 Personal Fan. Bought it at walgreens last year but they are online for pretty cheap (10 or less).

I've done Bonnaroo pregnant twice. And I have one very important piece of advice. Get to brunch early. It'll be the best meal in your life. There's a picture of me floating around here of me literally dumping food into my face hole in 2011 when I was 7 months pregnant.
I did a smaller fest in June '08 while 6 months pregnant. Suggestions so far are great, but I also wanted to mention you might want to use sanitary napkins in case of accidental leaks. That was a big issue for me with not always having a bathroom close by, and let me tell you from experience it can really ruin your day.
