Personally, I thought there was some hope for soccer in America. Especially with quite possibly the best-known name at the international level coming to a US soccer team. David Beckham. Here's a screen shot I just took off a poll on ESPN.com referring to Beckham playing in America. Maybe things will change after he lights up the field a few times.
Personally, i'm going to see him in August when LA plays DC United, and I can't wait ;D

I updated the picture to get a more up to date map, just to show that it indeed wasn't improving any. Apparently the majority of every state (including CA, of all places!?) just doesn't care... oh well, more available seats for people like me in the crowd
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this

I agree about the more vacation time.
I know I'd be more productive if I had 3 months off to look forward to! (i think its 3 mo.'s) And national health care would be pretty sweet too. I think health care in America is disgusting. No one should have to second guess getting checked out when they are sick cause of the money.
It's definitely a whole different vibe, a whole different culture....I think I could def get used to it...it suited me well the time I have spent there. But I can so see why they think Americans are rude and brash and spoiled. It's just a different pace...much slower and more resigned to things happening when they happen instead of when YOU want them to happen. Prices are higher for most commodities and necessities, you can't just pick up and go where you want when you want, you can't just assume what you want will be there when you want it....it would take some adjustment for a lot of Americans. And some would not make that adjustment well
