this is a pretty general question but does anyone know anything about red rocks? i got a ticket off ebay for the last cheese show and am figuring out if it is feasible and if so should start bidding on tix to at the saturday night. is it far from Denver? can you can in the park? if anyone has any info it would definately be appreciated. thank you.
I'm under the impression the Red Rocks in primarily an amphitheater (But a very impressive one.) But of course i've never been to a show there. I pretty sure you can't camp onsite.
yeah. i was looking at that earlier. i just wasnt sure if you could camp in the park cause the amph is in the park. that probably didnt make any sense. i saw a list of hotels and campgrounds but i dont know how close they are.

Redrocks is in Morrison CO, which is SW of denver in the mountains. Its not too far though. If yr looking for hotels, I'd reccomend Lakewood. It's also SW of Denver and about 10 min from Red Rocks. I don't believe there is camping in the park.
Also, get there plenty early for a show. The hike from the lot to the amphitheater is deceptivly long, esp when you factor in altitude. A great, beautiful venue. Caught Ween and the Flaming Lips there last summer.

ooh i cant realy speak out of experience but i hear the place is beautiful and it was the host of one of my favorite grateful dead shows 7-8-78. Its on my too do list, just waiting for the ultimate show there.
